This board 18-24 months ago:  Lew hates Mangino and is looking for anything to pull the trigger on him.

Ben response:  Mangino isn't going anywhere, Lew and Mangino smoke cigars together.

Why does Ben even bother to doubt us??

In all fairness, Ben get's a hundred responses with these posts that he knows aren't true.  He ran like a pussy when they got exposed and now he's slinking back by fishing you guys out.

Not even arguable after the last couple coaching searches by each program.

The entire this job is better then that job thing is stupid. There are certain jobs that are elite.  Neither KSU or ku fall into that catagory.  Beyond those schools all the BCS jobs are pretty much the same these days.  A good coach can win anywhere and everyone in the BCS spends a lot of money now.

I triple dog dare Lew Perkins to do the same thing to ku football that he did to WSU football. :hope:

From an employee standpoint, I'd say which ever job pays the most money with the best benefits, is the best job.

When I was looking for jobs, this is how I picked one.  Pretty simple formula.

Applied to this scenario:  a) don't know what Snyds makes, don't care; v. b) if Perkins pays Gill as much as Snyds, he is a fool that only a Cat fan could love (as long as he's in charge at uk)

A monkey with 3 bananas could figure out which is the better job

When comparing scores fails, compare coaching searches.

This thread made such a ridiculous claim that it didn't even get a rise out of anyone.  Lame.

    "Nobody f*cks with De Jesus."
yep, hiring a COACHING LEGEND was a pretty bad hire I guess. He had only a handful of talented players and all he did was take them to the brink of a north title and B12 championship game in his FIRST year back.  God, I hope that ku lands Turner Gill. Ima refer to him then as "Ron Prince light" and he will demolish any foundation ku football has left.  Hell, ANY coach ku hires will suffer to the point of putting a loaded gun in their mouths.

Lew will only hire a coach he has dirt on so he can later extort them.

The biggest difference between the K-State job and the ku job is that it has been proven that you can win consistently at K-State. Nobody has ever proven that at ku.

The only reason ku's generating any kind of buzz is due to the season meltdown and the Mangino fiasco, both combined to generate a lot of WTF-type amusement.

Damn, didn't realize college football success was now measured based on how much pub you can generate with the media.

Oh yeah, every BCS school is going to make the news during a coaching search, you freaking dipcrap.

Lew hasn't hired anyone yet. LOL at the ku fans thinking their job is a dream gig.

If you are a coach; uk is a much better gig; pay is incredible vs performance.  There are now zero expectations because the AD has demonstrated that they are not willing to allow a coach to instill discipline and accountability.  Fans are accustomed to forgetting about football once conference play starts.

ISU's last three coaches put uk's last 3 to shame.

Anbody catch Dodd this morning?  Says the Harbaugh rumor was created by internet posters and nobody outside of Lawrence gives it any credibility.  Said Sumlin, Patterson are also pipe dreams and believes it's going to be Gill.  So, I guess Ben's point is that uk is a better job because their posters are more outrageous than ours in putting names out there.
