It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

    I may be full of sh*t, but i won't be de-turd.
I know right?? If anything should convince Gary to come here it should be this. I mean undefeated and can't get to the NC game. Currie should make a huge pitch.

Not even close to the same disappointment.

If Patterson at KSU had an undefeated team in the same season that two name schools were undefeated, he'd still be the odd man out.  So, if he really wants to avoid this situation, he needs to go to a name schoool.

I agree. they couldn't control this. They did what they had to by winning all their games.

the # of name schools goes down if you play in the big 12.

but agreed, for the most part.

Um....no.  Undefeated Tejas wouldn't be "undefeated" because KSU would beat them in the B12C game.  You would have to count on a USC vs Florida matchup or something.  Not likely though FWIW.

and people would say the big 12 sucks if we finish above texas/ou.

look at 1998.

Sadly, we will never see a playoff.  NCAA and Schools in general would lose too much money.  NCAA also frowns on the thought of extending the season to more games than already exists.  It takes away from the basketball support, and also it would be difficult to get money from multiple playoff games unless they are hosted at the team's stadium like the NFL.

Yeah, there would be a lot of hoops to go through. Fowler really pushing it hard on SC right now. Saying he would put tcu ahead of Texas. just shows how imperfect it is.

it still sucks hard to be tcu right now, i mean one god damn field goal/or no penalty from a shot at the NC. but in the end the "right" two teams are playing for all the marbles. still crapty for tcu with the current post season system.

I hope that our new AD is smart enough to have already started putting the pieces in place for Coach Patterson to succeed Coach Snyder.   :hope:

A 13 - 0 Big XII Champ K-State plays for the MNC/BCS Championship; heck he HAS to go undefeated just to sniff a BCS bowl game.  Even an 11 win Big XII runner up K-State is likely into a BCS bowl from here on out.

IF ksu was 13-0 THIS year we would have beat texas and we would be in the mnc game versus bama because we would have been ranked above Cinn & tcu during the season and beat texas.

Now if a big 10 school or pac ten school like (osu or usc) were undefeated then I would agree with your argument but the big 12 will always get the nod over the big east or a non bcs school like tcu IMO.

Disclaimer: This is all hypothetic so it doesn't matter anyway.

Are all Pattertards powertards?  Hadn't noticed before, but this seems to be the case.

Has a big 12 school ever gone undefeated and not been in the mnc game, regardless of who is the coach?

I'll gladly wear the mantel of "Pattertard," but I'm not qualified to be a Powertard.  Personally, would LOVE to see Patterson back at his Alma Mater.   :hope:

I don't feel sorry one bit. GPatt knew his teams' fate if none of the big dogs lost before their title games. if he's smart enough to build an awesome defense like that..then he would know the best tcu could EVER DO is this crapty matchup in a "BCS" bowl.

GPatt, Enjoy Fort Worthless for the rest of your career. Don't ever take on a new challenge. Just maintain the status quo...that's the best way to enjoy life. Never take on a challenge.

Sending tcu to play Boise is such a huge FU to everyone from the bowls.  I hope congress passes their resolution to destroy the BCS this week.  So sick of this system.

Congress should probably stay out of that over which they have no real authority. But of course they won't. See: steroids in baseball.

I foresee legislation outlawing the BCS with a rider to pass some new health care bullcrap...maybe tack on some more taxes fees just for fun as well.  :pirate_grrr:

terribly wrong statement.  Lets say this year or any other year.  We would have to take down 2 or 3 good south teams, one of which (UT/OU) would be a NC contender.  We would be in.
Be a winner today
