thin blue line, make him play tennis. he'll thank you later in life.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

How about I get him started on the debate team and the sewing club? Same result. :blindfold:

With a name like Gavin, I think ballet and managing a tanning salon would be the best fit.

His father has the Irish lineage. Go figure.

Important update:

It appears that Gavin was born a month early. He is having lung and heart issues, which if not improved in the next few days, will mean he will be transferred to Children's Mercy in KC. Irregardless, he will need to be in the hospital for the next two weeks. Please pray for him.

Thanks.

wow TBL, would probably be a good idea to rethink your avatar considering gavin is in serious condition.

Okay. New update. Seems that Gavin is doing better today. They've taken the tubes out of his umbilical cord and are putting him on a nasal cannula. He wont get to go home for a couple of weeks, but he is doing better. Thanks for all of the thoughts.

Gavin update:  He's doing so much better today! They took him off the ventilator and put him back on the oxygen bubble, they were able to skip the oxygen tube in his nose because he's doing most of the breathing on his own! Thank you everyone for your prayers and thoughts, they are working!

Thanks to all of my fellow K-Statriots!

wonder if he's related to brian gavin :dunno:

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

TBL-haven't been on in a few days.  So congrads on the grandson, and glad to hear he is do better.  I know this is going to sound odd from someone you dont know.  But I'm there for you and your family.  My oldest son was born 2 months early.  Had several of the same issues with him as you grandson.  Our son was in NICU for a one and half months and the nursery ward for another week.  I remember being in the NICU and reading a letter like I'm writing to you.  Basically, it said to stay strong.  I also remember looking up from our son's bed around the NICU (which you aren't suppose to do "stay focussed on your child") and thinking as bad off as Kelvin was he was better than some.  So be strong for you daughter and son-law.  We came home on Father's day, it was my first and best Father's day which I'm sure will never be topped.  It is my shear hope that he makes it home before Christmas. :hope:  If I can do anything let me know.  God bless and prayers to you family.

Best wishes
Curt

PS Kelvin was 3lb 10 oz. when he was born.  Now he is 5 and eats like a horse.  So start saving you money those little ones will eat you out of house and home.
