I'm currently working on my playoff bracket. I've got 5 of the automatic bids accounted for, another 1 coming tonight and another 5 on the line tomorrow. I will unveil the official bracket sometime early Sunday evening and leave it open for debate.

16 team playoff is un-godly stupid. Plus 1 or nothing.

+1 would accomplish nothing this year. How are you going to fit tcu, Boise State and Cincinnati all into a +1? What do you wanna call it a "+1 1/2"?

They went to The Swamp and they beat Louisiana-Lafayette at Louisiana-Lafayette and, oh by the way, we lost to Louisiana-Lafayette at Louisiana-Lafayette.

Combo of football rankings(sag, massey, etc) and my brain.   Higher seed is home team.

So much for the "a playoff would never work in Division I thing":

For all the talk about how a Division I-A playoff would force student-athletes to miss too much class time, get a load of this: Alabama is canceling all classes for Jan. 6 through Jan. 8 to accommodate faculty, staff and students who want to attend the BCS Championship Game in Pasadena.

So in Tuscaloosa, not only are the players going to miss class time -- the whole school will miss class time. Which means the one extra BCS game is causing enough problems, yet the NCAA is fine with it.

Tell us again why a playoff isn't feasible? Because Alabama might have to cancel classes in two or three consecutive weeks if the Tide advanced to the championship?
