For a team trying to get its legs together, CU's schedule has been difficult, particularly at the start. After their stunning loss to Division I-AA Montana State, the Buffaloes played Colorado State, Arizona State and Georgia. Kansas State, meanwhile, played Division I-AA Illinois State, then Florida Atlantic, Marshall and Louisville, now ranked No. 5, in nonconference games, with the Wildcats' only loss to Louisville. K-State's schedule allowed the Wildcats to ease into the season while learning Prince's offensive and defensive philosophies. CU's schedule forced the Buffs to learn on the fly against an in-state rival, then against a preseason top-25 team and a preseason top-10 team.
Um...yeah left out your home opener against the Mighty Montana State Bobcats.
The MSU Bobcats are downright miserable this year in D-1aa. Not even a decent D-1aa team...and the 4-4 CSU Rams are struggling in their conference. They got shut out by Wyoming 24-0 last week.
I'll give them Arizona State and @ Georgia but if the point being made is the our OOC gave us some automatic wins that CU wasn't afforded I'm not buying it. CU should have at least been 2-2 coming out of the OOC even with a first year coach and the talent they had coming back. Quit crying. Prince showed up Hawkins..straight up.
One more thing..Ostate by 17 points over CU if the Cowboys ventured to Boulder with the way they are playing this year. We beat the Pokes. Found a way to win...Hawkins finds ways to lose.
