I'm going to toss this out there and then walk away... when is the end of the first semester? When school is over, there's a span of time where there are no distractions, no girlfriends, nothing to focus on but basketball. Ever since Huggs was around, the Cats always made their biggest improvements then. There is no limit to how much time the coaches can spend with the players, and it's essentially basketball 24/7. If K-State splits this upcoming four-game stretch, I think Frank - secretly, of course - would be OK with that. They're going to get better. The young kids aren't playing, then they're hanging around their friends on campus who are wondering why they're not playing, and their heads are all messed up. Remember when you were freshmen? There is an adjustment period to college life, and these are playing basketball on top of that. But you'll see... Once conference starts, they'll be fine. It's the same worries every year, yes, but winning 20 games every year isn't too bad, either. And RPI shouldn't be an issue this year.

OK, flame away...

so you're saying our shooting will improve. I agree.

its the defensive woes that have the most worried. We have been pretty much scored on at will against the better teams we've played.

Thanks as always JMART.

jeff, basically it's the "fat little girlfriends" syndrome?  which is kind of funny beause this hot little number comes walking up the stairs looking pissed during the FHS game and as the announcer is announcing victor is checking into the game, the girl says "should be rodney mcgruder".

what is with this meltdown that everyone wants to kill it off so fast?
"these are no longer “games” in the commonly accepted sense of the term. these are free throw shooting contests leavened by the occasional sprint to the other end of the floor."

ok, now that we got that out of the way...back to what this board is best at-

because he's a cancer.  cancer is no laughing matter and is hard to cure.

Frank Martin will chew up cancer and spit it out. Just watch.

Colon (the tummy one, not the Cougar banger) cancer, if found early, has an 85% survival rate.

I witnessed the FHSU debacle, in person.  It was disgusting.

Yet, I predict/expect a win against Washington.  Martin was clearly making a point, knowing that a loss wasn't remotely possible.  despite CM's and VO's best efforts.

This "meltdown" is amusing.

no.  as in, melted down.
if you think that this thread is representative of any type of ksufans.com meltdown, you're very mistaken.

Duly noted.  I'll run a query on the ksufans.com archive next time I choose to post.

Moving right along...  For those of us at the game last night, we observed/overheard a bit of negativity from various fans during and after the game.  plenty of negativity on gpc and ksufans.  got a few texts at the game as well.  Apologies if this doesn't meet your definition of "meltdown."

Just sayin' that some people need to relax a bit.  I think we'll be fine for Saturday.  The potential is there.  See Dayton.

i guess you and frank just see things differently.  :eyeseeyou:
