Big 12 Awards

Quote
INDIVIDUAL AWARD WINNERS
Coach of the Year Mack Brown, Texas
Offensive Lineman of the Year Russell Okung, Oklahoma State
Defensive Lineman of the Year Ndamukong Suh, Nebraska
Offensive Freshman of the Year Christine Michael, Texas A&M
Defensive Freshman of the Year Aldon Smith, Missouri
Special Teams Player of the Year Brandon Banks, Kansas State
Defensive Newcomer of the Year David Sims, Iowa State
Offensive Newcomer of the Year Daniel Thomas, Kansas State

And Mack Brown continues to be the class of the league.  Amazing that UT is the only BCS program in the country to not have a 5 loss (or worse) season the last 10 years.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Mack really needs to get credit for:

1.  Lighting a fire under Greg Davis's a$$.

2.  Bringing in Will Muchchamp (or however you spell his last name).

There have been other guys with every advantage that Mack enjoys who have done squat . . . Mack has evolved, and taken full advantage of his situation at Texas and that just doesn't bode well for the rest of the Big 12 IMO . . . they're a got damn monster down there.

FFF . . . please explain your post.

For me, Banks will always be a Prince guy and, consequently, an asswipe.

DT, on the other hand, is yet another Bill Snyder first round special.

Props again to the defensive staff.  Had no 1st or 2nd team players but still managed to field a Top 40 yardage/Top 50 points defense.

He had no talent at the one key position that all offenses, but particularly Snyder's offense needs talent in . . . which only makes the need to recruiting a good JC QB that much more glaring.   If OB's offense doesn't have a QB that can make plays . . . it simply don't matter what else is out there because OB wants the QB to  ALWAYS be the catlyst . . . thus the fallacy and trap (that I have fallen into myself) that OB can adapt his offense around anything he's got to work with.

what?  You don't call throwing to your 1st team TE 5 times over the last 5 games adapting an offense?

But seriously, this team had talent on first string on both sides of the ball.  The depth was absolutely awful, but we were ridiculously lucky with injuries.  All-in-all, 6-6 isn't impressive.

what's your f*cking point? Snyder will bring in talent, and he did it this year.

6-6 isn't impressive, but 4-4 is. And playing for the division title w/one game left is.

you're an idiot.

1) Snyder made them 1st teamers
2) Many people, including you had this team no where near a division title, pay respect where due.

lol's, last year, Banks was the offensive newcomer of the year, Stringer was HM, Mastrud had better stats than this year (but was behind ridiculous TE's), and DT showed up in August (he's a self made man).

And "having a chance to win the north" is possibly the most stupid accomplishment our idiotic fanbase has ever devised.

Now that's how you get out a f***ing blood stain.
4 1st teamers and zero TDs in the last 2 games.  wow.  Prince left this offense stacked. if Freeman & offensive genius Prince stick around think how easy the stroll to a division championship would have been. :crybaby:
