Will probably be a much funnier search than uk.  Notre Dame thinks that they are relevant, so they'll start getting a lot of "no interest" and "thanks, but no thanks" from all the top dogs, and will settle on some turd from the MAC.

Thing is, they have a lot of money to spend though.

They are going to throw the bank at a proven college head coach this time.

I can't think of a single "big name coach" who would benefit from going to ND.

I agree, I don't think they'll be able to steal a coach from a top program. I do think they'll get a head coach. Someone like Patterson, Peterson, etc.

i read in a thread on this website that was started by fatty fat fat, that Stoopsie might "venture North" to "South Bend." - .   the thread was started before Weis was even fired.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

I also saw that.  I'm glad that FFF is here to give us quality info before it even makes the nat'l headlines.

I don't think Peterson would even go to ND.  Boise is a better job than ND at this point.  ND's fanbase is uk-esque.  They haven't done a thing in 20 years, but think that they are elite.  They probably aren't even E15, lol.

Could someone with HCFBIQ explain why the obvious hire is not Skip Holtz? IMO still a good hire that saves them the embarrassment of over reaching for the Urbans and Stoopses of the coaching world. Not to mention the obvious background of the Holtzs'

Gonna have to ask you to stop hanging on to FFF's leg like a little kid.  He earned the recognition of being "KSUFANS.COM's Up to the Minute Newsbreaker"

We know they won't be hiring a black coach. Willingham taught them that black coaches are no good. Could you imagine the uproar if a Charlie Weis was black and they just fired him?
They won't be able to lure a coach away from a school like OU, Florida, etc. Those guys are already making top dollar and don't have to be at Notre Dame. No reason for them to leave for money.
My guess is Kelly from Cincinnati.

    The "other" KSU
Stoops already says no before they even ask:

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/football/ncaa/11/30/stoops.oklahoma.ap/index.html

But ND can double his salary.

Stoopsie - No
Urban "Cowboy" Meyer - No

ND = Career suicide.

Nobody wants it.

I look for Kelly from Cincinnati as well. Makes sense considering the recruiting area and his recent success. I can't see a big time coach going there, only to be on the hot seat after 2 years if the 10+ win seasons do not come.
