K-State senior wide receiver Jermaine Moreira missed last week's football game against Iowa State with an undisclosed injury and likely will miss Saturday's 2:30 p.m. contest at Colorado, as well.

"Moreira is doubtful at this time," coach Ron Prince said.

Moreira is the Wildcats' second-leading receiver with 23 catches for a team-high 419 yards and two touchdowns. He also has climbed to seventh on K-State's career receptions list with 114 grabs.

Some of Moreira's best efforts have come against Colorado. Last year, he had a team-best six receptions for 85 yards in K-State's 23-20 loss to CU. In 2004, he topped the Wildcats with seven grabs for 112 yards and made a game-tying, 17-yard touchdown catch with only 36 seconds remaining.

The play went for naught, however, as Colorado's Joel Klatt threw a 64-yard touchdown pass to Ron Monteilh with five seconds to play to give the Buffs a dramatic 38-31 win.

Prince also said running back Thomas Clayton remains sidelined. Clayton, the starter for much of the season, is believed to have a leg injury.

Junior Logan Robinson is expected to make his first career start, at right guard, this week against Colorado. Robinson, who replaced Brock unruh during the first quarter against Iowa State, is a 6-foot-8, 310-pounder who came to K-State from eight-man Eastern Heights in Agra.

With 887 passing yards this season, quarterback Josh Freeman is only 9 shy of setting the school record for true freshmen. Freeman needs 479 yards to break the overall single-season freshman passing mark set last year by Allan Evridge.

K-State has outscored its opposition 73-34 during the fourth quarter this season. It has outscored Big 12 foes 35-14 during the final period, with the defense posting shutouts during the last 15 minutes against Baylor, Nebraska and Iowa State.
