I think I agree with you about music.  Music now is good though, so it is close.  Don't know much about the pop scene.  All of that stuff is pure crap in both decades.  I just found out who Lady Gaga was 3 days ago. Alternative is probably a wash, and if anyone thinks rap is better now, they are out of their minds.  Tupac and Biggie by themselves make rap better in the 90's. Rap was so much better when they shot each other, now there are just pussies that talk about it.
