This will get pricey if they aren't able to fire him for "cause."

And, firing him for "cause" is going to be a &@#%ing circus!

Quote
Mangino would be given a 21-day window after his firing to submit a written appeal of his termination to either ku chancellor Bernadette Gray-Little or athletic director Lew Perkins. The appeal would be reviewed by a three-person committee appointed by Gray-Little, comprised of faculty or professional staff employees, one selected by Gray-Little, one selected by Mangino and one agreed upon by both parties. Mangino would have the right to attend committee meetings and have legal counsel.

Two of the three committee members would have to rule in favor of the school to uphold the termination for cause. In that case, Mangino would be paid only what he is owed through the date of termination. But if the committee ruled in favor of Mangino, turning the termination for cause into a termination without cause, Mangino would be owed $6.6 million — the remainder of his contract ($2 million per year for three years plus a buyout in the range of $600,000). ku would also have the option of reinstating Mangino as coach.

Just imagine the dirt that will come out if this thing goes to a hearing.

Lew is going to bring in an M1Abrams tank and run Mangino over with it and then put it in reverse to run over him again . . . this could get ugly because Mangino is going to battle this to the bitter end if he has to.

I know!  Both of these &@#%ing jerk-off's are playing chicken with mutual self destruction.  Mangino has nothing to lose, but Lew seems to gambling an awful lot on this.

They're going to fire him and have to pay him $6.6 million and then it's going to come out that the athletic department knew for awhile that this was going on and put up with it  when they were going to the Orange Bowl but not when they're going to be 5-7 which is going to make parents stop and wonder why they'd send their kid to uk. It's going to be a fun implosion to sit back and watch!

Mangino and prince can be fat and happy together as they sit together on their custom made fat ass recliners watching the last two years of Oprah.  Mangino will get the control of the remote thought since he owned Prince on the field

The thought of Mangino having to bend over to grab his ankles for Lew is almost too much to comprehend.
