For a guy whose college career at Kansas State was marred by an attempt at beating down a Collegian columnist, former Wildcats Manny Dies has carved out a decent career playing abroad professionally.

Dies, who averaged 9.1 points and 5.5 rebounds for K-State from 1995-99, is playing in Sweden.

Last season, he was a Eurobasketball second-team all-Sweden player after finishing in the top five in rebounds, blocked shots and field goal percentage.

Dies, a Wichita native who averaged 15.7 points and 7.6 boards as a junior at K-State, has also played in China.

I knew a guy who was about 5'7" that went to high school with him and blocked multiple shots.  This guy was nothing special as a basketball player (not even good enough for juco)

Dies was so pissed after reading that article that he went over to his house wanting to beat the crap out of the kid that wrote that article.  The kid was so scared that he crawled on top of the house roof!

The Australian Import was with Manny at the time.
