I'm sick of being sort of good.  Looks like another year of losing a couple games we shouldn't, maybe beating a team that is better than us at home, and being left out of the NCAAs after being on the bubble for the last month of the season.  I'm melting down pretty hard right now.  Why can't we be really good?

This is a bubble team if I've ever seen one. :yuck:

they'll be good next year.  and a tourney team this year.  how can you not be happy with that?
"these are no longer “games” in the commonly accepted sense of the term. these are free throw shooting contests leavened by the occasional sprint to the other end of the floor."

There are tons of bubble teams right now.  Lots of teams play terrible one night, and really good the next.  Heck, 'Nova is top 10 and probably should've lost to George Mason.   Let's get over ourselves a little bit.

But we haven't played really good yet.  Maybe we aren't capable.

I thought being really uptight about losing to good teams was a perk of cheering for a talented team.   :dunno:

Much more fun than the slth fan mantra "Did you see how well we played in that loss?  We're getting closer to being a good team!"

We've had spurts.  And we have more talent than we have in a while.  I think Frank is a good enough coach to get something out of it, its just maybe a little slower than we thought, but I think it will come.

Is a 22-24 win team significantly better than the team we should have?  I wouldn't say so.  And expecting more wins than that is a little silly.  What are we going to do, fire Frank because we can bring someone else in to win 28 games?

Good point.  I suppose IMO we haven't really established ourselves as a "good team" quite yet.  And its just hard for me to not go back into a bit of slth mantra.

Don't want to fire Frank.  Would just like to win some significant non-con games.  This loss reminds me a lot of the ones to Kentucky, Iowa and Oregon.  I just thought this year was the year we were going to be able to beat middle of the road bcs conference teams.

It's just one loss.  I'll be right there with you if we don't beat a good non con team.

we may just have to do this.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Would be nice to be able to beat one on a nuetral court.  But I guess winning one at home would be a start.

I quit reading all basketball threads here. This is what I want to believe.

This team needed to lose. Frank has mentioned poor practice habit and usually that comes because you think your good.  They learned last night you cant just turn it on a play when you need to.

When is the last time KSU finishes a season ranked in the top 25?

It's incredible how sh*tty this program has been.
