The Big 12 is slowly, but surely removing all of the fun characters out of the conference...

I for one will miss the grumpy blueberry.

Who wants to head up to Lawrence to show our support for a fellow B12N coach?

Add Stoops to ND and Leach to Louisville, and it's not a good year for Big XII coaching talent.

Louisville is Big East, which is sadly a BCS conference.

If ku hires Tommy Tuberville, I will probably do something drastic and life-threatening.

Rumor on ESPN's board that Perkins has already contacted Turner Gill about the ku job.  Apparently his daughter goes to ku.  Thoughts?

I give it about a 10% chance...but I think it would be a decent hire really.

PLEASE HIRE TURNER GILL!  (ku would have a crappy coach and NU fans would lose it because he was coaching somewhere else in the Big 12)

I think Gill will really flourish once he gets away from that nightmare of a schedule he plays at Buffalo.  Who can honestly be expected to win against the murderer's row of Ohio, Western Michigan, Central Michigan, Bowling Green and Temple?  After running that gauntlet, he should have no problem with the Big 12.

CU boards are saying that Turner Gill is a candidate for the CU job as well.  Tough to tell if this is all just the typical coaching search speculation or "real" stuff.

In either case, they seem to be in agreement that Hawkins is out, and prolly before NU game.  This is nuts.

If Leach and/or Stoops leave, this will be the wildest coaching carousel in conference history.

If you are one of the few african american head coaches in the country I bet your off season schedule is pretty much filled with interviewing and subsequently not getting offered every single open position.

It's gonna be an awkward athletic department when Sherron rapes Gill's daughter....

More fuel on the Mangino fire

http://mizzourahblog.com/2009-articles/november/joc-crawford-is-willing-to-drive-the-bus-over-mangino.html

From Crawford's twitter

Jake Sharp almost walked and Gino is still thumping buffets in Lawrence? What position does Jake play again? This is huge.

A fun post from a ku board...

If we fire coach and lose this recruiting class you might as well count 2014 as the EARLIEST bowl possible.

I have absolutely no problem rooting for him.  Zero.

Speaking of Hawk:
