Greatest coach and greatest QB in program history go down in flames and forever tarnish their legacies together.  Very sad for ku football fans.  Very good news for makers of pizza and boxed wine.

Welcome back, Bill.

Jack Harry tweeted that Mangino's job is safe for today because the basketball team has a game tonight.

Fired tomorrow.

Can you imagine?  That's what it's like to be a football player at Kansas.  Your coach beats you, but the Ath Dept. won't deal it until tomorrow because it might distract from the basketball game.

No wonder they fight.

Glen Mason was every bit as good of a football coach as Mark Mangino.  By the way, Mangino will be fired on Thursday.

You're assuming that the basketball team wins tonight.  If they lose,  he'll be fired first thing in the morning.  Might interrupt the post game and do it tonight.

If Mangino could control his temper, he stood at least a 50-60% chance of surviving this season, because he built up so much equity with 2 straight bowl games and a BCS bowl.

Still LOL at Ben . . . all the blather and hyperbole about Mangino from Ben for the last 2 years and Ben has already tossed him under the bus.

I can only conclude that Bill Snyder's return and instant victory over ku was the reason for this.  I mean, we don't agree to be your rival but you haven't even played MU yet and the firing is already all but confirmed.  It can't be the alleged rough stuff with the players as KK confirmed that had been known forever and goes back years.  Still a silly move on ku's part.

If ku were 4-2 in conference and 7-3 overall and controlled their own destiny in the North . . . we wouldn't have heard a peep.   Lew was like a damn lion in wait on this one . . . holy crap.

    I may be full of sh*t, but i won't be de-turd.
Mangino wanted to tear down the program he built. Snyder tore down the program Mangino built. Mangino tore down the program that Mangino built.
