He wouldn’t be a JUCO but a sophomore transfer.  The word is that Cronin (Cincinnati’s new coach) told him in practice that he wasn’t working hard enough and if he didn’t want to put in the effort then to get out.  Herrera immediately told Cronin to f_ck off and walked off the court.  The kid is very raw -- not nearly ready to play much, but he is strong and huge at 6’10” and over 250 lbs, but if it is true that he doesn’t want to work hard then he won’t last in Huggins system either.

in more timely juco recruiting news, a big from cuesta college supposedly visited ksu this weekend.  presumably allen, although their other big man might be high major as well.
"these are no longer “games” in the commonly accepted sense of the term. these are free throw shooting contests leavened by the occasional sprint to the other end of the floor."

Here are a couple game reports from last year, the JucoJunction profile on Allen, as well as an article (premium content) about the two.  Jimmy Allen (6’9”) is their center and highest profile recruit and Kristof Ongenaet (no height given) is evidentially a high scoring forward.

snart pretty muvh covered it.  not much that is easy to find on these guys.  rivals does list ksu with allen, but there is nothing more to the profile.

Herrera was a top 100 guy, but I dont think he fits Huggs system well. Ive seen him play, and he is a big body with good skills, but is slow. He could be a nice player though. When is JJ gonna put out their rankings. I havent seen any JUCO rankings and it hard to tell how good these guys are with nothing to base it off of.
