If Tate has a legitimate scholly and we short change this kid and miss out on him because of it I don't know what I'd do.  Something bad.

If true:  "We are not recruiting a QB in this class because the coaches LOVE Emmanual Lamur".

Then:  Welcome to the A Webb. era Part II.

Frackin A we are seriously the dumbest fan base in America.  And I'm starting to think by a wide margin.

We literally will post rationalize anything.  Anything.

Meh, semantic mix-up on an identical twin.  It happens.

Point is that they quite likely share one half of a single brain.

Honest frack up.  I usually don't really give two craps about most of the scout team saviors that our fan base is gullible enough to go all balls deep over because Tim Fitzgerald tells them too.  See Jeff Schwinn, Keithen Valentine, Rat (The "Lockdown" Corner) Garrett etc, etc, etc........

We've been down this road before.  I can't help the delusioncats.

if gopowercat can rationalize the Patterson frack up by saying "well, GPatt was not seriously considering coming here anyway".....

then yeah, you're dead on imho

Geeze people get a grip, why don't you wait until February before freaking out on recruiting? I know one thing for certain, we will be have more talent at QB next season than we did this season. Who knows maybe our staff will still get another qb but I am not going to freak out in November when signing day is almost still 3 months away.

Well call me a tard if you want but my nephew is a linebacker for Butler, a freshman (started a few games) and he told me when they played Blinn, Newton made it a point to go over and taunt the visiting crowd when Blinn scored a late a TD to win the game. The guy ran up to the visiting and yelled obscenities at Butler's crowd, pulled at his jersey, etc. etc.

Is he Snyder's type of recruit? Don't know, but I won't lose any sleep if he goes to Miss. state either. I know one thing though, if he would come to KSU he would need a huge attitide adjustment to ever see the field.

That is DEFINITELY Snyder's type of recruit.  You are &@#%ing crazy if you don't think that Snyder would not only run him out there to start, but would be telling all the other guys that they need to have the same level of "spirit/enthusiasm" as Cam.

You have no idea how many players a dozen time worse than that have played for, and excelled under Snyder.

Well I have actually been to 3 jc butler jc games (Garden City, Hutch & Coffeyville)  this season and seen some of these kids play (no I didn't see the Blinn game) but what would I know :ugh:

I can say Adam Davis is an absolute stud, the game I saw he sacked Butler's QB 7 times in one game and was around the football on almost every play. A DE for Butler, Scott Smith is an absolute stud as well, not sure why KSU didn't offer him. Kennard will be a nice WR with size but won't be at KSU till 11. Boyd (DT), not real impressive the games I have seen play. Pease for Hutch JC will not play QB for KSU IMO, can't really say where he will fit in. Decent athlete might be a specialty teams typew player if KSU does sign him in 11.

    EMAW!!!
Sammy Lamur.

...the legend grows.

Seriously guys, who in the hell really thinks that this guy has what it takes...or put another way, who thinks this guy is materially better than Allen Webb?

All the same signs are there....Not good enough to play QB for anyone else - CHECK.  Too dim to learn the playbook - CHECK.  Surrounded by even worse alternatives and therefore makes him look serviceable in practice - CHECK.

You will NOT convince me that this guy is any good.  If he was, he'd be playing.  Are we suppose to fracking believe that Old Balls will pull out all the stops at every other position on the field, and go to the lengths that he has with the program in other very crazy ways  :peek:, yet some how he is fracking "saving" this jem quarterback?

GTFOOMF with stupid crap right now.
I got a friend who plays on kstate. Ryan Manes, a walk on QB from my town ( ellsworth). He said Sam Lamur is pretty good, good enough to be the guy next year, but the only thing is, HE IS &@#%ING STUPID!! LIKE HE CANT MEMORIZE PLAYS and crap lol.. so he just needs a &@#%n brain. And Chris Harper is a WR for next year. But other than sam, i cnt think of anyone. that could be decent.

I heard Adam Davis once pounded on his chest and yelled after making a tackle.  Don't want this head-case anywhere near my ksu wildcat football team.

I just love it when the tards get on their "attitude adjustment" kick . . .back in the DOD how many times did we have guys come up after hits flashing mob etc. etc.

I wonder if these ever paid any attention at all to guys like Chris Canty or Mario Smith . . . if the same rules of today were around back then Mario Smith would have had at least 1 taunting penalty a game.

Damn . . . I just can't believe the Tards sometimes, well, I can . . . but it's simply amazing . . . it's very

Hey bro, I am not doubting your knowledge of those guys and their experience at Butler/Blinn/etc.

However, I can tell you that we have had some truly horrible personalities on our team who have been excused as long as they worked hard in practice and performed on game day.   Snyder is all about effort and performance....if you're a walking piece of trash, so be it.

Snyder is capable of things that you'd never dream of.  I love Old Balls for what he has given us, but he's nothing close to the saint that he's been painted as since he retired.

1998 ...at ku....and Darnell McDonald is standing on the bench yelling at the ku student section about how "ohhhh, that had to hurt!!" after we demolished Zac Wegner on the scramble.

In terms of attitude...it makes Cam Newton look like Darren Sproles.

OMFG. Two things:
1. The OP is freaking out about a quote from a recruit that likely has nothing to do with Cam Newton. The recruit is a HS WR and is likely referring to this guy who would be a class above him and throwing to him in the future: http://rivals.yahoo.com/mississippistate/football/recruiting/player-Tyler-Russell-74174

Even if he was referring to Newton, what do you expect Mullen to say? Of course he's gonna tell the kid "Yeah, we're real close to inking the top JUCO QB in the nation. Sign with us and we'll win the SEC."

Newton has said time and again that EVERYONE IS EVEN and that he'll take all his visits, and he isn't even thinking about recruiting until his season's over. His words, not mine. I think we've got a better shot at Newton than some would believe.

2. Everything catfanatic said is spot-on except for his opinion on Boyd, who IMO is going to be a solid DT for us in the future.

All I know is Bishop never would have talked trash or "taunted" or celebrated after physically running over an opponent's face in the open field.  NEVER would have happened.  Never.

Nothing more pathetic than the recruiting junkie (fanatic). There Should be a real men of genius commercial about you guys. "I watch a 2 minute clip of a kids senior in HS and can tell he is the next Barry Sanders. If we sign him the sears trphy is ours."

Just to restate, I have never seen Newton play just told you he didn't make a great impression on any visiting Butler fans. Again I only said KSU's football program will be just fine with or without Newton. I am a lot more worried about both o-line and especially d-line recruiting than I am for QB.

this.  apparently, it's not that he can't get the audibles or get people in the right plays, he literally just can't remember what to do on each play.
