Is there absolutely any chance we make it to a bowl game? ESPN still has us going to a bowl, which, unless I am missing something, doesn't seem to make much sense to me  . Anyone know what the deal is?

Nebraska will probably have to forfeit some games because of underhanded dealings and being cheaters (only way they could beat us), which puts the Cats back in the CCG.  Easy win over the rivals makes us bowl eligible.

Here's the deal, we played 2 @#$%^*?#$ing 1AA teams and only one of the games counts toward bowl-eligibility; thus, we need to have 7 wins whereas everyone else needs 6 to be bowl eligible. So, like EVERYONE in EMAWnation commented - the LALA loss will effectively FCk us out of a bowl. Game - set - match. The fact that this season was far and away more than everyone expected and $1.29 will get us a bottle of pop at kwik shop, nothing more.

One thing we can hope for is uk losing out and not going to a bowl game.

I am not positive, but if all the slots are not filled by qualified teams, then there would be a chance for the Cats at 6-6.

All of the games are going to be played and nobody is going to play in 2. So in theory, it still is a possibility, albeit a slight one.

There are 68 bowl slots.  There are currently 61 teams eligible.  There are 15 teams 1 game short of eligibility.

Those teams are:
uk (texass and misery)
aTm (plays Baylor this weekend the texass)
UCLA (plays 4-6 Az St and USC)
La-La (plays 6-4 La-Monroe and 7-3 Troy)
Fla St. (plays 2-8 Maryland and tebow's golden nutsack)
Duke (plays the U and Wake)
USF (plays Louisville, the U, and UConn
UAB (plays 6-4 ECU and 6-4 UCF)
Marshall (plays 6-4 SMU and 3-7 UTEP)
Bowling Green (plays 2-8 Akron and 4-6 Toledo)
Kent (plays 8-2 Temple and 3-7 Buffalo)
W Michigan (plays 1-9 Ball St)
Tennessee (plays 2-9 virginia and 6-4 Kentucky)
Wyoming (plays tcu and 3-7 CSU)
Michigan (plays tOSU)

10 other teams besides us have not been eliminated but are sitting two or more games away.

I think they need to change the rules so you can only go to a bowl if you finish 500 in your league.  Pretty weak that uk could finish 2-6 and dead last in the North and still make a bowl.

Soooo, you're saying you saw the ISU game disaster? Dude, it is possible (not probable) that a team craps the bed twice in a season.

The main difference is that NU didn't have to block an extra point to pull out a win vs ISU. NU fumbled the game away and still held ISU to 9 points. Think about that for a second.
