JRH, Samuels, and Kelly are all exceeding my expectations.  Could be one reason.

You have to have your best players on the floor.  Right now, Judge doesn't fit into that category.  Henriq, Kelly, and Samuels do.

judge not playing because kelly and samuels are better.  more interested in why sutton didn't play.

Needs to learn to play defense. He made three defensive lapses in like 30 seconds in the second half and got pulled.
He'll learn. And we'll need his offensive production inside. I can see Kelly struggling against teams with length inside.

McGrudsey is better?  (at least on offense)

Really, McGruder and Sutton are like the inverses of each other.

    Hey, basketball!!!
Judge has got an attitude. I think that's part of the reason why Martin is reluctant to put him in. Also, like Sys said, Kelly & Samuels are much better right now.

How about Jordan though? What a great surprise!! :woohoo:

I think Jamar and Kelly are better, but I believe the man getting left out is Dom.  Not sure why he is in Frank's dog house, Frank alluded to attitude/effort so we'll find out now going forward but I think there will definitely be minutes with something like this:

denis
jake
jam-sam
C-Kell
walle

quezbert is going to need to be spelled a LOT more once he actually has to bang (which will also be a rude awakening)

judge has beaz's O potential from within 15 ft (has great hands and shot), but lacks on D.

yeah, Walle looks lost on defense still.  I still see him adjusting on offense, but the flashes of greatness are already there.

I think Sutton's Defense may have become overrated on this board.  Is he significantly better than his competition at the 3?  Maybe.  Is he better enough to make up for his continued inability to contribute offensively?  Unclear trending no.

He never does anything on offense, because he stands out at the 3 point line, where he is inept to do anything even mistaken for decent basketball.

How about Jordan though? What a great surprise!! :woohoo:

It's amazing how much better he is than previous 7 footers Bennett and Joe Leonard.

He won't normally play this much, but it's nice to see him stay on the floor for extended periods without getting into immediate foul trouble.

Judge ordered to extended stay on bench.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

I keep thinking he doesn't look like a 7 footer, but maybe that's because all the other 7 footers we had we surrounded by 6-5 power fowards.

Judge should eventually beat out Kelly for PT.  Kelly's lack of ability to grab any kind of defensive rebound paired with his inability to pass out of the post will turn into an issue once he faces a competent big.  The other spot should be taken by colon, quezbert, and a few minutes from jamsam (Since Jamsam is going to spend the majority of his minutes at the 3 because Dom is an fp).

Sutton didn't play a single minute, did he? I assume he's either hurt or sick.  No reason at all he would be the only player to not leave the bench.  On that note, what happened to Werner?  Seems like he'd get at least a couple of minutes in the 3 very well secured victories' waning moments.

werner is injured.

sutton is healthy.  he started and played 7 minutes.  didn't play in the 2nd half.

Dude's averaging 20 minutes a game, having played 17, 17, and 27 minutes.  I figure most of the post guys will be playing right around that amount the majority of games.  Plus, the guy is a freshman, so you would expect him to improve as the season progresses, which could very well lead to greater minutes.

God bless you for spreading quezbert, but I am more worried about Walle/quezbert getting manhandled/in foul troubs from a competent big than I am about Kelly's lack of D.  He will make the big work on the other end and if Frank can teach him to stay ball strong and not drop his freaking hands he will get bigs in foul troubs.  The nice thing is we will constantly be rotating these guys, the problem is finding a rotation/routine/balance.  Admittedly, it is a high-class problem when you think back to fff (in his role as Ksufans' Greek Chorus) fantastic pasco/siebs point of comparo.

Totally missed his name at the top of the box score, and I actually didn't get to watch the first 10 minutes or so of the game time.  Wonder why he would be benched for the remainder of the game?  Even if a starter totally &@#%s something up, Frank will generally (eventually) put him back on the court.
