Gregory is just not D1 talent, and makes poor decisions on top of that.  Can't run the option correctly to save his ass (literally).  Can't see down field more than 10 yards, which is frustrating when he has DT 5 yards away wide open repeatedly and never gets him the ball.   Turns every snap into a scramble.  Love his tenacity and willingness to help, but is simply not a QB.  

Oh, as to the question, yes.  We had no chance without creating some down field threat.
