Tried desperately to post for help but DIA WiFi was crazy! Needed real assistance. I had two flights cancelled today and now my trip is ruined. I now know more about that airport than almost anybody, probably at least in the top 50 on this board.

Time breakdown:

Spent 1 hrs getting there
Spent 7 hrs drinking
Spent 4 hrs waiting
Spent 1 hrs trying to get my money back
Spent .5 hrs getting transportation
Spent 1 hrs going home

12 hrs in the terminal plus 2.5 hrs outside doing DIA-related things, and I didn't get anywhere. Ended up making about $10/hr in the form of a United voucher though. So I'll actually come out even given that I blew that much at the bars.

Heard tales of a Rock Bottom Brewery in DIA but was unable to locate. Verify? tia

Happy to update anyone who is interested about current beer selections and menus at other establishments. (Smoking Lounge has a one drink minimum!?)
"Unless you're a ku fan you don't want to watch a game at the fieldhouse. You'll never see more home cooking in your life. The last game I watched there Larry got the boot and I didn't blame him a bit. Only ball game I've ever walked out on in my life, besides, the facility is a piece of ****."

C Concourse.  Also, a Denver Chophouse and Brewery  just opened at DIA in April.  (A Rock Bottom concept)  DIA also has a New Belgium Brewery and a Boulder Beer Taphouse.

Denver Chophouse is a RB restaurant?

Found the New Belgium in B concourse and Boulder Beer was my first stop- their burger sucked. :yuck:

    The very best.
did you stop by those weird gates @ the end of termy B???? very trashy place for such an elite airport.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

whaa? if you haven't flown out of the bowels of DIA you haven't lived, brother. That was actually supposed to be my first flight out of the 80's-90's B gates. And I have to say it was 10x nicer and more upscale/less dangerous than the end A gates.

good stuff. those gates do seem to have a "cult like" following among their fans.

to be honest, i kind of understand the appeal. a very "comfy" place and a stark difference to the "hustle and bustle" of termy A.

honestly, i can't imagine any reason to connect through dia when dfw (elite, clean, free internet) and ord (quick/cheap trip to city center and back) are available.
"these are no longer “games” in the commonly accepted sense of the term. these are free throw shooting contests leavened by the occasional sprint to the other end of the floor."

dia is very clean/new looking itself. Tram is very efficient and an absolute joy. May not have an elite "international" termy, but hey, pretty sure they've got a handful of flights to mexico.

i guess what i'm trying to say, DIA ain't no slob. It's pretty damned big time, and very worth of a 4+ hour lay-over.

I love how the British Airways gate is just in the middle of concourse A at DIA.  Very elite to be connecting and rubbing shoulders w/ the international travelers when you're just some schlub flying Frontier to PHX.

Boulder was awful.  Food bad and beer mediocre.   Spent time there watching NCAA tourney while on standby.  Wish i knew of the RB.  Pretty sure this was prior to Chophouse.

    It's time to hit it.
at least you were stuck there during the day.  Last time I was at DIA i was there for 8 hours, from 9pm to 5am. Nothing open, and the entire airport was nearly empty. that "1 hour" layover just dragged on and on
