Apparently they don't think ol' Kale Pick or Jordan Webb have what it takes to win in the Big 12 yet.

They are now targeting Aaron Rodgers little brother, Jordan.  http://rivals.yahoo.com/kansas/football/recruiting/player-Jordan-Rodgers-95615.  Could be interesting to see if they beat out North Dakota State for this kid....but he's "hearing" from other schools as well.  Kid is saying that he wants to go some place where he "will play."

They've also offered another Juco QB with no other D1 offers.  http://rivals.yahoo.com/kansas/football/recruiting/player-Quinn-Mecham-100292

Pretty old news.  I posted earlier that it could be Mathews starting next year for us.  I don't think it will be webb.
According to ku police reports, the fight involved as many as 100 people.
“We’re pretty sure an incident occurred,” said Capt. Schuyler Bailey, ku Public Safety Officer
“We will handle any discipline regarding this incident internally, and we will have no further comment about it.” Perkins

I think ku is kind of in a flux struggling for an offensive identity in the post Reesing era.  Heck they're struggling for an idenity even with him this year.  Pick is more of a running QB which would mean a drastic change in their offense.  Not sure if they want to go that route or if they even have the people to go that route.  Their o-line can't run block, I don't like their RB situation Opurum is a slow plodding back and not sure what else they even have aside from him.

That is the one thing I love about Snyder he knows what he wants to do and how he wants to build his team.  People make fun of him for running the option with Dylan Meier but over the long haul it's much better to have a system and stick to it.  IMO Mangino lucked into Reesing and had a good year or two with him running an offense that isn't really his own.

Now that Reesing is graduating and people are catching up to the spread he doesn't know what he wants to do.   He won't really have the people to run the spread next year and he won't really have the people to run his old offense which was much more similar to Snyder's.  When people talk about ku's 07 team they forget that offense was kind of a hybrid.  Sure they threw it well but they also ran the ball downhill quite a bit with Brandon McAnderson and they had a physical offensive line.  As they've gotten farther and farther away from running the ball their offense has gone down hill.

Polish Nate didn't even mention Matthews this morning.

Sounds like you guys have some more QB-to-LB/DBs in the making with that crop of freshman on the roster.  We've taken a page out of your playbook on that one...works pretty well!

Suffice to say, QB is a MASSIVE concern for ku next year.

No argument from me there.  If Mangino survives this off season, I really feel like his coaching will be ultimately judged by what happens next year.  The only thing he has going for him is the fact that we go back to the OSU, aTm, Baylor rotation.  We did add Georgia Tech for next year so that is going to be a very good early test.

A month ago, Ben would have started a thread about these two guys, complete with like 20 pictures of each, "warning" us about their impending arrival at uk and subsequent dominance of KState.

no, simply means our schedule will be easier next year, a good year to get the O some experience.

Dude, that triple option is going to go all "Ramblin' Wreck"  :Driving: all over your pitiful run "defense."  And I use the term "defense" loosely here.  I think run "slight inconvenience" is probably more fitting.
