Stop me if I'm being ridiculous (and you can find a way to stop a post that's already been posted - LOLs), but...is there any reason we shouldn't be calling for a much more objective national player of the year award? I mean...one that's not completely retarded like we all know the Heisman is? I don't have any good ideas for concrete implementations, but why aren't more people saying this? So many people care about the Heisman, but if dudes with stats as painfully mediocre as Tebow's and Ingram's are really the frontrunners for the award, there are major problems with the criteria, compadres.
Also, WTF is the deal with Gainesville, middle-of-fracking nowhere, mediocre-state-U-having, small-town Florida, attracting top-notch talent year after year? Effing ridiculous.
