Heard KK and crew talking about this today.  I think it could be a good fit.  Guy obviously knows, understands the game.  Young, charasmatic leader type that ususally makes for a great coach.  Coaches son.  Pretty much EMAW to the core.

Love hearing Sndyer call him "Jonathon" always first name only.  Just sounds great IMHO.

I'm glad he realizes who the real KSU Beasley is (unlike the occasional moron on this board).

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

GG is HCIW

I honestly can't imagine us doing any better.  I mean, GG has a ridic. amount of heart, and probably gushes emaw when he gets a paper cut.   seems like the perfect successor to Sean.

GG is HCIW

Rumblings Snyder announces at halftime of Dr. Pepper game that he is retiring eoy.  GG is first ever player/head coach.  Actually in Snyder's contract that Grant Thorton reviewed.
"Bob and myself had a nice chuckle over that one. Bob told me, ‘How could I say the things I’ve been saying about Kansas State to the kids and go someplace else?’ ”

Yeah, I mean Jonathan Beasley only provided us with two 11 win seasons and two bowl game wins.  What a fracking loser.

I think it's a good idea - I would almost call it scary smart, but that could be misconstrued as a reference to a disappointing, "dark" era of KSU sports.  So I will just all it a good idea and leave it at that.  It's slowly becoming clear - the retirement, the return, was all to calm the waters for a young GG and Sean.

Listen, man.  Did he have the heart Grant Gregory possesses?  No.  So he's not HCIW material, nor is he as fit as Michael Beasley (the real Beasley I was referring to).  And if Mangino has taught us anything, it's that fat coaches really suck.

Lotta dumbass new 'round here lately.  Buncha bandwagon sons of bitches if you ask me.  Also,  if SS and GG are the HCIWs, does that mean Tate takes over Seans position or do we wait til he graduates high school to announce that?

 :kstatriot:

This

The original Beasley saved our arses.; great bridge between Bishop and Roberson.  Not nearly the athlete, but rarely put the offense in the wrong play, and ran with a tremendous amount of heart.

Now would I like to see Gregory stay?  Sure, but I don't know what he will be able to bring to the table.  He knows the qb position, but Beasley has about 10 years experience with Snyder's system.  Can GG be a great teacher/leader?  I think he's a key reason why this team has bought in and showed a willingness to put the program ahead of individual desires.  Coach Snyder seems to be very fond of him as an individual, but he's also loyal.  I think if there are no openings, GG goes to work for his dad.  Gets his feet wet and provides his dad a treasure chest of knowledge.  But Snyd's will keep in touch and monitor his progress.

If you were GG and you had any opp at all to coach under Snyds you would certainly take that over a spot on whatever team his dad is with now, wouldn't you?  Hell, after coaching with Leavitt, I imagine Grant's dad would fully support him taking a spot under Bill.  If there's even one open, of course.

Beasley was one of the most intelligent QB's we've ever had, probably knows Snyder's system better than anyone else under the age of 70

We already know he can run circles around you chum, Why you saying crap we already know? That's why you're in your mom's basement and he is on the field. And why you calling your self "that fat f*ck"? Quit being a douche and embrace all K-State history.

Don't f*ck with the Bee's. He was a great player for KSU and it's disgusting that you talk that way about him.

And in case your being sarcastic..... then my bad, I did'nt catch it.

 :kstatriot: UNITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also I would guarntee you that GG would never even sniff the field if he played in the same time frame as JB...that's a fact!

    Knows What Brent Did...
Does Jonathon get no credit for GG's development? I mean, it's laughable to say Jonathon has no heart. That guy eats hearts for breakfast. With gravy. And a pork chop.
“My arm gets tired from doing this,” said coach Bill Snyder, waving his arm.
