you think mangino is gone after this year if we don't win another game?  Serious question.
According to ku police reports, the fight involved as many as 100 people.
“We’re pretty sure an incident occurred,” said Capt. Schuyler Bailey, ku Public Safety Officer
“We will handle any discipline regarding this incident internally, and we will have no further comment about it.” Perkins

Let them fire mangino, he is the best coach they have had there that I can I remember. Not saying he is a great coach but I give them a 10-20% chance of hiring better than him if they gas him because ku has zero football tradition and/or history in football.

They have had a few great FB players in 100+ years that turns heads when mentioned (Hadl, Sayers, Cromwell, Riggins) but 1 great player per decade or less, hardly makes a football program. uk always has been and always will be a basketball school. Football will always be a distant second or lower in the hearts of the uk faithful.

Yeah, do you?  I mean, was hearing grumblings that he and Lew weren't on the same page even before this season.  Who would be on your list for replacements?

50-50.

Look at his conf record.  He is still riding the weak schedule of the fluke 2007 season.  His recruiting is pretty bad as well.

How would you feel if they hired a really sexy coach?  It's gotta be much less fun than it is when they have a totally repulsive coach, right?

Snuggie? That is probably a tent bought from the barnum & bailey circus! How many square yards do you think it takes to make something like that to fit the goodyear blimp?

good god, his FUPA is massive.   When is the last time you think he saw his penis?

I think he has one more year.  If KSU gets a couple of these big time 'cruits and Mangino goes in the tank next year he may only make it through conference season as a shell.  Full time search while he is still on the sideline and a dreaded vote of confidence from lew.
Be a winner today

If he beats Missouri or Nebraska he'll stick around. If he seriously goes 0-7 to end the season, I wouldn't be surprised if we hear about Mangino dying of a "heart attack" the next day that Lew would certainly have nothing to do with.

would be a complete nightmare, really.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

i personally don't find him all that attractive, but i'd love to see how the fanbase would react to ku hiring that ou coach that zacker likes/resembles (no offense 'zacker, w. re. to me saying i don't find the guy that you resemble all that attractive).

No. I think getting rid of him would set you guys back big time. Lew won't fire him...yet.

I think Mangino has another year even if he doesn't win another game this year.

Also, FWIW, Mason was a better coach than Mangino.  Mason's teams beat some actual good football teams, and he had two Top 25 seasons (Mangino only had one).

Ya, Mason's 1992 squad was amazing.  Gilbert Brown, Dana Stubblefield, Chip Hillary...

Also, I'm guessing its physically impossible for Ruffin McNeil and Mark Mangino to shake hands.

I have nothing but bitterness towards Mangina and it supercedes the whine and cheese crowd.  This douche is the Benedict Arnold of sports and he did it to one of the most loyal people you will ever know.  It is karma that this guy failed the coaches ethics test; by cheating!  My opinion of him is that nearly everything in his life is dirty from his personal relationship with his spouse to every aspect of uk's football program.

no offense taken.  i'm not sure what I'd do if they hired venzy.  i'd prolly start hating him.  i'm scared to death of who lew might bring in.  venzy?  patterson?   :ohno:

Ultimate fear...minority hire done right.  Not likely, but we all know Lew sold his soul to the devil long ago.

Honestly, because of my sick hatred for nub, Turner Gill.  But otherwise i'm not sure who we could get that I would like to see here.  We need a DC bad, more than we need a new HC.
Here is my wish list.

Bud Foster
Kevin Wilson
Dewayne Walker
Turner Gill

That's my short list.  Do I think we can get any of them?  I don't know, Lew is pretty good at his job, but I doubt it.

Who was that kicker that they had then?  Eichloff or something like that.  Dude was built like a linebacker and kicked like 90 yard field goals.

I don't care who they hire as long as it isn't Dan McCarney.
