    The very best.
1)mangino spending time exclusively w/the offense this week

or

2)reesing's (<<==did i use apostrophy correctly here??) players only team meeting.

both are incredibly  :ohno: :ohno:
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

"Sleeping giant". They have so many offensive weapons, they are due for a huge breakout.

my biggest concern is that they beat us by 30 points last year and they return more than we do

terrible offensive line + terrible linebackers = terrible team

I just can't wait to see Fitzgerald & Calvin go all  :steadymobbin': over their offensive line.

KSU's defensive players catching some sort of disease from Reesing from simply tackling him. Now THAT would ruin the rest of the season.

The fact that what ku wants to do is similiar to what TTU wants to do and we match up horribly with that type of offense.

Now, ku is not as good and they have been sputttering BUT, if they get the offense going at all, we will be in for  a looooong day.

We just have to hope our O can put together long drives to keep Reesing and Co. off the field.

Jake Sharp.

Dude tore us up last year and the only way ku blows up offensively is if they get their ground game going.  If we stop the run, we should hold them in the 20s.  JMHO.  But if they rush for greater than 3.5 YPC and get 150+ yards on the ground, Cats will need to score in the mid-40s (or more) to win.

    The "other" KSU
I guess I am most concerned over us being overconfident. The fact that OU bent uk over and we hung with OU? Maybe - but we rebounded pretty strong after the TT beatdown. I like JFitz to take Sparkles and snap him like a twig - this will be a great win if we can pull it off (even though it isn't rival-related). I can see a nice scenario re: winning the North if we can pull this win off.

THIS

we did not defend the zone runs out of shotgun against OU.

in fact we haven't defended that well since 03.

Wondering who is running this hot dog stand and seriously considering heading out for tacos.

Agree with fan about not being able to defend the run.  You can talk about Reesing getting hot or whatever.  But there is a reason why he has been in a slump lately.  If we don't defend the run he'll get "hot" in this game.  If we take the run away and make them one dimensional he'll have some struggles and probalby some turnovers.

this.  Sharp getting to the next level when our DB's either wiff or knock each other off the tackle then his speed to finish it in the end zone.  Does this first drive and we are staring at 7-0 out of the gate.  We need to frustrate ku and they will fold.  Give them some confidence and they will take our D apart.

but  :steadymobbin': or whatever.

I was pretty nervous before our showdown with OU in 2003 Champ. :ohno:

I think I'm more nervous for this year's game because there is so much to gain by winning:

1) Their mini streak is broken

2) We will be one win away from the Big XII Championship game

3) We will be one win away from a bowl game

3) Curry and AD will get a huge boost in fundraising

4) ku football could be abolished, looking at 1-7 on conference.  Mangino could lose job

5) Recruiting.  The Cats are back.

In years past, the ku game did not have these implications.  This year, there is a LOT riding on the outcome.  Or, maybe I'm just being hyper-sensitive about this game.

The early start. And ku's ability to execute @ the Bill in spite of the crowd noise.

I'm still spooked by the early start home game against uk two years ago. Can't shake it.
