To All Loyal Wildcat Fans,

I have always been immensely grateful to you for your genuine, caring and loyal support of our university, our athletic program, our coaches and our players. As I now work for Texas State I am becoming even more aware of your graciousness. You have made me even more proud of having been your coach for six almost-good seasons.

I have stated so very often that I came to Kansas State because of a phone reccomendation by Tex Winter after the Tim Floyd deal fell through, and I stayed because of the money. All that cash with no results was great.

I am now asking that you please give your support to a legitimate D1 coach in Bob Huggins, his staff and the players he is getting that I would have given my left nut for. This is a difficult transition for them, as it would be for anyone who had to clean up my mess, and they are working diligently to give you the very best product possible.

This staff needs (just as my crappy one did) and deserves the same unbelievable support that you provided to our program once a year when we played ku in Manhattan.

Forever grateful and forever a Wildcat,

Jim "Neckbrace" Wooldridge

You can't be racist and like basketball.
This must mean Wooldridge wants to coach again!

I took the Ricardo Patton resignation to mean Jim Wooldridge will soon be back in the league.  I mean, with such a great coaching talent out there on the market as Jim, it's only a matter of time until he finds his way back to another top flight program.

Heh.  I did a Wooldridge vs. Patton comparison last season.  Patton won.

Patton, IMO, could be a great recruiter if he won regularly...someplace like UAB would probably be perfect for him.  He could probably get the same caliber player he landed at CU, but he'd play easier competition.
