That video did a poor job of telling the story. They were 11-0. They had beaten everybody by 30-40 points. Jason White won the Heisman. Teddy Lehman won the Butkus. Derrick Strait won the Thorpe. People were calling them the greatest college team ever and nobody was arguing.
In the first quarter I don't think we gained a single yard. They took the ball and shoved it down our throats. I sat in the stands and thought for sure that we were going to get beat by at least 5 touchdowns.
Then the second quarter started.
Sproles took that pitch, broke Strait's tackle and was off to the races. And suddenly we were kicking their ass in every phase of the game for the rest of the game. I've never seen anything like that.

Gotta disagree just a bit....first off, they didn't "shove it down our throats." Yep, they were kickin' our tail on the offensive side of the ball, but they should've been up by about 21 points at the end of the first....there's one reason they weren't....The Lynch Mob. OU scored once on a blown tacklin' angle, it happens, but they didn't crap on offense in the first quarter, and if you didn't sense that then you just were

and

of OU's mystique like every other talking head.
It just took a little time to get the O goin'.....kinda similar to last weeks game, if the D woulda held the first quarter we woulda won.
Secondoff, this wasn't a video that told the story of this game and this feat only....it told much more than that, so why get lost in what everybody else thought. This was about K-State and what they accomplished, why muddy that up with how great OU supposedly was and how much the media was kissin' their arses.
