    shame on you, non-believers
imo, even though I was and am still completely against the hire, dude should stay until he dies (or until it's apparent to everyone that he and his staff can't recruit).  calm the waters my ass.  this is worse than have a HCIW.  stay til you die, snyds.  if it were that f'ing easy to identify a new coach who could pick up a program we wouldn't be in the position we are in now.

Disagree. I want us to move to the next true step, win or lose, as quickly as possible, because I want us to have a shot at being good again before I'm 70 myself.

I'm selfish like that.

wtf did Snyds say?

Basically that he misses the time he was able to spend with his family over the last couple years.  Said that all the stuff he hated, that goes with being a head coach, still sucks donkey balls and faintly insinuated that if we were to win the North he might consider retiring.

ftr, I agree w/ lsoc.  Snyder is just avoiding questions about Sat.  He is a wise, old man.  :kstatriot: :cyclist:

not sure I believe this, at all.

What part?

Me neither, that was just KK's take and he openly admitted that he has no clue as to what goes on inside of Snyds head.

"moving on" is why re-hiring snyds was retarded in the first place...but considering that our 100+ years of existing had about 100 years of it mired in futility until one dude came along, then I say ride that dude to the grave.   I mean, it took OU...O-freaking-U like 8 years to replace Switzer....NU still hasn't replaced Osborne...USC took a nose dive until Pete came around....Michigan is a shell of itself..... it may very well be that snyds is the only one.

I am not sure I buy the idea he would retire after winning the North.  I completely understand that he likely already has an exit plan in place, but that it would also include a very smooth and well planned transition this time.

Patterson at any time is a great transition.  So, if he is on board, I guess it could occur at any time.

**Also, at some point, Patterson will want to step up to a BCS conference so that he does not get the shaft by the system every year.

Listened to the whole segment:
1.  KK exaggerating that Snyder could retire in "3 weeks"
2.  Then admitted he doesn't know
3.  Snyder sounded tired, doesn't like the hard part of coaching that's not fun
4.  Endless speculation on Snyder's vague comments

KK is full of baloney.

Meh, that's pretty true, but I place 100% of the blame on our situation at the feet of Weefs, Krause and Weiser. THEY force fed us Prince - THEY (allegedly) didn't interview anyone else - THEY fracked this progam and THAT'S why we are in the situation we are in.

OT, I still love your takes on things CZ, you rule!

Snyder should stay until Patterson is ready to leave that crap hole tcu and coach in a real league.  The day that happens is the day Snyder should retire.

Snyder is &@#%ing crazy if he thinks Currie will let him have so much as a sniff of who the next coach will be.

Currie is running the show, bitches.

I personally cannot see Snyds getting CHarp to come home and then retire without coaching him.  That said, IF KSU ever wants a shot at Patterson, and therefore a shot a being good beyond the next 3-4 years, Snyds retiring after our 2009 Big 12 North title sets a perfect table to transition towards GPatt.

A side note, did GPatt play with Dimel and/or Koening at KSU?

Nah. Pre-Snyder K-State can't be compared to post-Snyder K-State.

I wonder if this is one of the items bothering him?  THAT, and Cam Newton may have called him "Old Balls" to his face.

i heard from a pretty reliable source that cam newton got a giant "Old Ballz" tattoo across his back/shoulders, just to f*ck with O.B. during a recent recruiting visit.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

    I may be full of sh*t, but i won't be de-turd.
Snyds is bipolar. After he retires, he misses coaching. After he goes back to coaching, he misses his family. If he does both, ksu football  :flush: :flush:

I want him committed or get the frack outta there.

    Hey, basketball!!!
Guys, calm the frack down. No way in hell does Snyd's bring back the old gang (assistant coaches) to MHK all while mixing in some new faces like Koeening, Dickey, etc., then just bails on them...

Bill's comfortability with Kietz lead him to say things that I'm sure he probably regrets as I'm typing. He'll be here for 4-5 years (no reason to come out retirement to not do so). You can bank on that.

I will 3rd the reality that UPKS has decreed that ADJC is 100% in control of the athletic department, and everyone, including the football coach is a subordinate employee . . . it doesn't matter who they are, or how much money they're being paid, John Currie is their boss.

A side note, did GPatt play with Dimel and/or Koening at KSU?

Koening was with him, Dimel is a little younger.  And I was surprised that Darrell Ray Dickey didn't get hired on this staff.

If this goes down, look for Wallerstedt to return as well.  He's doing an incredible job at Air Force.

The waters are calming.  I assumed that Snyder missed it and really wanted another shot and was going to stick around until he died.  But if that really was the goal then maybe now is the time.
Is your life so sad that KSU football isn't enough?

    The "other" KSU
There has to be a Kansan here to coach, OR a former player. There has to be a rainbow connection there. KSU isn't a school that will ever attract the "sexy pick" head coach. It is unfortunate but true. That's why GP would be spot on; d00d gets the Kansas thing, he loves it here, he has roots here and I cant think of anyone who I would want more.
