Doesn't our success last week highlight what, at least in theory, any defensive team might have to face when you have an offense that creates that "+1" personnel mismatch situation with a quarterback at risk to hit the edge? That is, they knew McCoy wasn't much of a risk to run, and neither was Reesing, but that Gregory was in at QB because Snyder loves the guys who can hit the edge and create a threat.
I also thought I saw a lot of, well, what I would term "less intense" play on their defense, particularly at the LB position with a lot of situations where guys were getting more or less "shielded out" without a great deal of resistance? That is, I thought I saw more than a few plays - esp when it got to 21-0 and again at 28-6, where they really seemed to lose some defensive intensity and allowed themselves to get pushed around a bit?
Sure seemed like Landry had a really good game - went something like 14-14 on that late drive...about the only thing I saw was that he probably had one or two plays where he had receivers running seam or post routes that were W-I-D-E freaking open and he just didn't spot them.....gotta be something he'll pick up with experience.
