I know a few weeks back, there was a ton of chatter about Lew Perkins, Mangino, and the ku AD's office getting behind a Reesing for Heisman campaign.

Just wondering, when he got benched last week after handing out half a dozen turnovers in a game and a half, and with his team down just two touchdowns, have the wheels falling off of the campaign?

If it's still plugging along, when should we expect to see Todd's billboard in Time Square?  Hopefully soon?

NOTE TO JACKASS REESING:  As you head into your next Senior season, maybe you should spend a little more time focused on football and  a little less time focused on the next White Trash party and getting trashed every weekend.  I'm sure partying it up all summer was well worth it though, to a worthless piece of crap alcoholic.

 :flush:
EAD Reesing, EAFD.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Amazing how quickly things can change.

Reesing for Heisman!.

Quote
"Obviously," Reesing said, "for Coach Mangino to mention an individual award is pretty out of character."

"It'd be great, it'd be awesome," Mangino said. "It would be awesome because we never have (had a winner), and we have had some great players here like Gale Sayers and John Riggins and John Hadl. There's others I'm missing. I think it'd be a great shot in the arm for the program. If it happens, we'll be some happy dogs."

"I told (sports information director Mike Strauss) we should probably just get information on him, just very simple game notes, something along those lines, just to inform voters and journalists around the country of what he's doing," Mangino said. "He's played at a high level here for three years. He's not a flash in the pan."

Reesing benched!

Quote
Yet, there was Reesing on Saturday night, in a nondescript room in the bowels of Jones AT&T Stadium, trying to relay his surprise at being pulled midway through the fourth quarter of the Jayhawks’ 42-21 loss to Texas Tech.

“I was (surprised). I’m not going to lie,” he said, and he looked like he meant it. “At that point, we were two possessions down, by no means was the game over.”

“The last series he was in there, (Reesing) short-armed two passes and had a fumble,” Mangino said. “More than anything, I thought maybe Kale would give us a little bit of a jump or something. I just didn’t feel good about the offense as a whole.”

Reesing seems to be absolutely correct with his first quote.  Very out of character for Mangino to single someone out positively, much more likely to throw a player under the bus.

Interesting how the qb situation there has come full circle...Wasn't it Reesing's red-shirt that was pulled to come in for KM?   Now Sparkles gets benched as a SR.

Gino has made numerous qb decision f-ups along the way, this recent one is now way surprising.

Wasn't that 2006 when KM got injured?
