ku by 2.5

Discuss.
I'd much rather have a 69 year old coach than one that weighs 400+ pounds.

They were off by 14 or so on the ou game.  That being said, I don't like this at all.  Assumed it'd be a pick or KSU a slight favorite.

    The very best.
Idiotic. Lock of the year, for ksu of course.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Yeah. They dissed us vs. Colorado at home tho. That was a weird line...and free money as you could tell CU was a piece of crap team that fluked a win vs. Kansas.

The lines have nothing to do with how much they expect a team to win or lose by.

From Phil Steele:  KSU is 25-4 since 1990 in November home games.

Also, KSU hasn't lost 4 in a row to ku since '74-'77.

They are placed at a level which the bookkeepers think half of the bettors will place their money on the over and half on the under.  When the line changes, it means they are making adjustments because there are a disproportionate number of bets being placed on one side or the other.  The change is an attempt to make those sides even again.  It is in this way that Vegas can more or less make money no matter the outcome, or at least not get taken to the cleaners.

Hmm, am I the only one here who thinks this is actually a good thing in terms of the team's mindset going into the game?  The whole "underdog mentality" thing?

I'd be more worried about the media going down on us constantly now having a negative effect than a Vegas line.

am I the only one that thinks this is probably the correct line?  maybe even a little generous?  we have the worst pass defense in the conference and ku has the 2nd rated pass offense.  sure, our rush O is t-2nd in the conference, but ku is only at 8.  And yeah, sprinks has had a rough go of it, but I don't think he's going to be that bad again, which is what it would take.  we have (a) no one that can cover meier or briscoe (b) no one that can tackle anyone, and (c) we couldn't get a pass rush against Lawrence Free State, let alone ku.

qft, we've overachieved and they've underachieved.

That's why I posted the Defense thread about how garbage they are.  ku's recievers will make us look like we did against tech.  We can't cover anyone in space.

I don't really like our chances in a shotout.  Hopefully it is very, very windy.

ku doesn't have near the talent that tech and OU have.  ku will look like guys running in the sand compared to what they experienced against Broyles, Murray and Elden on Saturday.  Briscoe, although big, isn't near as quick/fast and ku doesn't have near the line as OU and Tech does to protect the Toddler.
