With 6 Big 12 games last saturday, all with fairly even matchups, 5 of the winning teams scored more than 35 points. (42,42,41,36,35, and 20). The 20 was that offensive juggernaut known as Nebraska with 11 impressive first downs.

The way our defense is playing at home, with a hostile crowd, I like our chances if we play assignment sound defense and don't commit some goofy turnovers to give ku some short fields. If our ground attack continues to pound the ball and set up some play action, I think we can get to 35.  :woot:

While I envy the optimism of some posters I will keep my Sunflower Showdown banner sealed and un-hung 'til after a win. I'm still hangin' this though.  :kstatriot:

We put up 30 on OU. OU is full of NFL players. No reason we can't put up 35 on uk

23 w/o the kickoff return.  But ku's defense sucks horseballz in comparison so 35 is not out of reach.  but I'd put it at needing two more scores, not just 1.

    Hey, basketball!!!
Nothing better than putting yourself one more game away from the Big XII North title and putting the slight chance for your rivals to win it completely away... 8-)

The way we're cyber strutting around this week after a loss has me worried.

Visions of CU 2001 coming to town and pooping on our faces was a horrible memory and I don't want it repeated.

We were convinced we were getting better after a trip to Norman that year...only to come home and host Colorado in an early kickoff.

Some key differences though.

1. CU had Chris Brown. Their version of Daniel Thomas.
2. Gary Barnett loved beating Kstate. Built his career by playing us tough. Always. Fatgino will always be Snyder's bitch.
3. It was early in the season. 2nd conference game. This will be our 6th.

sigh. I want this win so badly for Bill Snyder. The genius that he is ...truly deserves to crap on Kansas.

    The very best.
based on what we've seen so far, we are better than ku. we've also been nails at home. we could lose sure, but we shouldn't.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

    I think therefore I think I'm hungry
We had 14 TOs in the last 3 ku games combined, but I think Freems was only 13 of them.

Freems against ku in 3 games.

76-129, 756 yards, 1 TD, 9 INTs, 4 lost fumbles.

Your strategy is in direct contrast to our opponent's.  Probably a good one.

KSU scoring is very important, but I do think our defense can hold them under 21 points.

+ it seemz Gino is back to sucking on the road.  Bet if we had a Spangles or Braum's he'd be more distracted...Maybe Freddy's and/or the Burger Shack will be enuf. However, he would have to use the walk-up window at the Shack, it's too small inside for him.
