We only have 3 seniors that we will miss next year:  Jeffrey Fitzgerald ,  Daniel Calvin, and Brandon Banks. If half of our juco transfers on the d-line are worth anything and Harold comes back we can replace Calvin and Fitzgerald.  And the addition of Brodrick Smith, Tramaine Thompson, and maybe Chris Harper at WR should offset Banks.

I also didn't include Stringer on this list because our OL will be much better with 4 returning starters and a whole off-season on the juice.  I'm thinking we open the season beating UCLA by atleast 3 tds.

The schedule is ridiculous.  I say 6 wins.

We'll miss Calvin?

Unless some of those juco transfers turn out to be ok we will miss him.  Calvin really isn't a bad player.

Yea that's probably not too far off.  The schedule is brutal. I would say 7 wins. We'll be 4-0 in non-con and beat Nebraska, Iowa State and Oklahoma State in conference play with ku being a tossup for an 8th win.

Opening the season with UCLA.  A road game at UNT.  Like, 5 games in a row outside of Manhattan, and our home games include Texas and Oklahoma State.

Could be painful.  Our success will depend on the guys that stay being as good as they have been this year, some new guys being actual playmakers and not just contributors or adding to the depth chart, and the ability to win in a hostile environment.

Not impossible, but tough odds.

The beakers will be a shadow of this year's team next year without Sparkles and Meier.

Metaphorical shadows can.  And ku football '07's metaphorical shadow will definitely have a metaphorical shadow next year.

    The very best.
we're probably going to be awesome next year.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Yeah ku loses meier, reesing, sharp, and possibly briscoe. Not to mention stuckey on defense who is one of their best defenders. Not to mention the OSU loses bryant probably, robinson at QB, 3 or 4 of their starting lineman, their starting RB and I do believe they lose more than half their defense. Don't expect OSU to be what they are right now cuz they won't be. Texas will be good, but at least no colt mccoy.
