Tickets for ku game

As of Tuesday, there are about 6,000 tickets still remaining for K-State's next home game on Nov. 7 against Kansas. The start time will be determined on Sunday.

wtf

For the first time since 2003, Kstate has a legitimate shot to win the Division in a year when alot of us predicted to win only 4 games all year. ku is looking very average..and Snyder had(s) absolutely pwned ku his entire career...and he gets another crack at the fatman once again. A win over ku and you can do two things...1. stick a fork in ku's chances at winning the North. It might not be us...but it won't be them. 2. We have the clear advantage to win the Division, depending on what takes place this Saturday.

All of that...and we can't sell out a home game vs. Kansas? I can understand about 1K-2K remaining but 6K is just a disgrace....What are people wanting? To be ranked? Undefeated? I'm really hoping we don't start handing out tickets at grocery stores or we have absolutely no basis for finger pointing other schools that do such a thing. Rant over. Don't be a jayhawk. Part of this might have to do with no official game time yet.

Bought my ticket to Norman and the ku game Monday morning.

If KSU plays well Sat and ku loses as they should, Game will sellout.

Bullshlt...  it has EVERYTHING to do with the fact that our Athletic Dept is trying to gouge folks for $75 a pop.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

ding ding ding.  not everyone can afford $150 for tix plus gas, food, beer, etc.  if it had a ticket package like the A&M or Mizzou games or were priced like all the other home conference games it would have sold out already.

Book,
I totally agree with you, but I'm thinking it has something to do with the recession. I thought the CU game attendance was embarassing as well after the A&M win.

Last year, I started an attendance vent on the b ball board and got lambasted for it. F 'um.

I get that. I think $75 for a crapty GA seat is a joke...If Currie was creative he would find a happy medium between making SOME money ...and getting people into the game.

6000 tickets = fans don't care about ku.

I'm sure ku fans are dumping their tickets as we speak on stubhub/craigslist/ebay in fear.

It would be interesting to me to see them have some numbers crunchers/data gathering folks do an extensive study pertaining to adding a significant number of additional seating and lowering season ticket prices/individual game ticket prices, and possibly expanding the mandatory donation seating (not a huge donation say $50 bucks per seats into the lessor seating areas).

It would be interesting to see what the price points would need to be/tickets sold need to be in order to grow revenue . . . coupled with additional suite/club suite sales (if there really is a waiting list for those things).

The only way I would pay $75 a seat is for a bowl game in a sunny location during the winter.

ku at home ain't it.

    The "other" KSU
Ummm, I did my part when I was a student - I attended EVERY GAME at the Bill (prior to naming it the Bill) Ball freaking State when they were on their 36 game losing streak - I was there, N Texas - yup them too, etc. This is part of the college experience peeps! There is no excuse - buy the freaking ducket. Students will spend that much money on beer alone when there isn't a game in town. Support the FCKING team or our credibility for packing a stadium is nil.

We'd have loved to go to the ku games, but at $75 per x 3 EMAWs + 3 Squawks, it's WAY too much. A&M was affordable, Mizzou affordable, but I draw the line when it too $$. Times are tough and money's tight right now. K-State should consider cutting ticket prices to more reasonable levels. Hell, even parking's up from last year.
