This team would probably be 6-1 at this point and Soul Glo' would've have made millions more in the NFL during his rookie season...

Too bad he was too stupid to stick around and get some real coaching for a season.

Don't know if I believe it.  He might of caused just as many problems for being such a humongous vage. :flush:
Here's hoping that Clams is chillin' with someone cool up in that big EMAW in the sky. RIP Clams, RIP.

KSUfans.com will become the #1 Kstate sports BBS!
There is no way he would have liked what Snyder would have to say, cause he wouldn't have put up with Freemans whiney behind
"I don't know if I will be able to knock out as many teeth as big Lu, but I hope to pick up on the scoring and rebounding aspects." Wally Judge talking about being a biig of the future for KSU!

Truly, we'll never know...  However, my belief is that had he stuck around, he would have eventually "bought in" the same way Banks, etc. have.

The actual threat of a passing attack alone would've been enough to win at ULaLa and I think his ability to scramble around and get the ball to Banks would've likely beaten UCLA as well.

Oh well...  Getting rid of Prince was worth it, but it's fun to wonder what a real coach could've done with that talent if even for just a year.

    Hey, basketball!!!
Why in the frack would you say that now? We are #1 in the Big XII North by almost two games without Freems (plus even if he was here he wouldn't have beaten TT).

Just enjoy Snyd's looking like an even bigger genius without Freems here.

Could also be Sam Bradford losing about $35 million.

I just enjoy the "what if" of all of it...  I do totally agree, however on how genius Snyd's looks with the what he's accomplished thus far.

Seriously though, can you imagine the season that DT would be having if the opposing defenses had to respect the threat of a passing attack?!?!

You just can't fault someone for leaving when they know they'll be taken in the first round. Especially if he is/was a vag.

No question. Snyder could have really improved Freeman as a player. Freeman had a big ego. IMHO freeman never improved under Prince. Freeman didn't want to work as hard as Snyder would have demanded. It's good he's gone. Had Freeman embraced Snyder and learned from him. Freeman would be a much better quarterback than he currently is. This really isn't debateable when you look at players :kstatriot: who played under Snyder.

qft.  we have beaten up on the worst of the conference and lost, very badly, to a decent team.  out of conference was even worse.  if we win 1 more game this year i will be surprised and at that point i will give snyder credit.

Freeman went league at the right time.  His stock wouldn't likely get much higher if he had stayed and the 2009 QB class is/was quite weak compared to the QBs looking to come out this season.

No, it's just that Snyder has, at best, produced a team that is marginally better than Prince's last team.  So, I guess if you consider that to be an accomplishment, he's accomplished something.  I just don't think you deserve coach of the year consideration for beating aTm (a team Prince beat on the road) and CU (a team Prince lost to by one on the road) at home and ISU (a team Prince beat) in KC.  I would have been contend to just sit back and enjoy the OK start of conference play, but the board has turned into "'lynch mob is back baby' after dominating a 1-AA team" mode.

Sorry.  :dunno:

Do you actually think Freems would have bought into any system where he isn't the top dog? Not a chance in hell.

why hate.

but in your view do you think Prince would be doing better with this group. And you can't spin out of it by saying that Freem's would still be here...because he wouldn't.

who is saying prince would be doing better?  also just b/c prince would be doing worse than snyder doesnt mean snyder has really accomplished anything yet.

It's more in the way Snyder has them playing.

i.e. not giving up 1,000,000,000,000 yards to everyone we play and having the final score be 75-62 in every game.

Bill Snyder has absolutely nothing to do with that.

Well, the "worst of the conference" went on the road and beat Nebraska; went on the road and was 6 inches away from beating ku.  The other "worst of the conference" beat ku and played very well against UT.

I'm not saying this is a great team.  It obviosuly is not.  But, give some credit where credit is due.  From what these guys have shown, I don't see any reason why we, as fans, should be discounting our ability to beat ku and MU at home.

Yeah, beating ku or MU hasn't happened yet.  Therefore, Snyder hasn't accomplished sh*t yet.

I guess it depends on how you look at it.  If wins over MU and ku are you only criteria for success, then I agree with you.

Before the season began, I probably would have agreed with you.  But, as this season unfolds, it is becoming very clear that ISU and CU are every bit as good as (if not better than) MU, ku, and NU.  The proof is on the paper.  ISU and CU wins are nice wins whether you choose to acknowledge it or not.  Wouldn't have thought it at the beginning of the season, but the current reality is that these are quality wins.

If we go 5-7 and lose out, then yeah, this season has been a failure.  No acomplishments.  But, to this point, I think 3-1 is a nice accomplishment.  Don't just throw out those ISU and CU wins.  Not great teams.  But, every bit as good as ku and MU.
