So I just called the ticket office to find out if there are any game by game students tickets for the ku game. You know, just a cheap alternative to all those jerk off facebook kids offering 100 dollars for theirs and here is something interesting I found out. Our ticket office doesn't sell them even though the lady said there are ALOT left. She said they just sit there and rot. We completely WASTE every student ticket that isn't sold in a season ticket package. I'm not sure if I'm ranting for no reason, but this seems like just a stupid thing to do. Why don't we sell them? Does that make sense? They don't go to anyone. Would our student section be filled better?

They don't sell student tickets, but they do sell GA tickets which are in the same section as the students to the general public.

Every other game they have been reasonably priced, the ku game is a 'premium' game though so any ticket you buy will be the same price.

Well I was told that my ONLY option as a student was to pay full price for an entire season ticket package for the remaining two games. I then asked if those tickets were offered to the public/alumni and was told they are not. Therefore, we don't fill part of the student section and won't the rest of the year. Just repeating what the ticket office told me 5 minutes ago.

Oh, gotchya.  Missed the part about you being a student wanting a single game student ticket.  Like I said, you could just buy a general admission ticket like the general public does from the kstatesports website, but it's $75 for the ku game, and that would get you into the same section as the students.

How bad is the student pricing for the rest of the season package?  Only two home games left.

I specifically asked if those same leftover student tickets were offered to the public/alumni and she told me no.

What I understand from the information she gave me, is the only way these tickets could get used if students bought the season package. Which won't happen with only two remaining games. In this case, I sure hope that she gave me the wrong information because it would be sad to see those tickets go to waste, with zero chance of them being sold to either public, alumni, or students.

Well, I've been buying single game GA tickets to the games I've gone too so far this season and have been in the student section.  So either she lied to you, or the GA tickets are not considered the leftover student tickets for some reason.

If you are in Manhattan, go over to Bram and talk to them in person. Those old women in that office tend to be pretty decent as long as you're in the room with them.

I'm glad to see you didn't add that ridiculous "Sam S." to the end of this particular post.

I think that buying the student tickets also includes tickets to all of the basketball games, and you can pay for them with financial aid, yes?

I would just go that route.

I have no pity for you "I only want a ticket for the ku game" douches. You're just as bad as the ones who sell their ku ticket on facebook.

Section 28 is now regular GA not part of the student GA because not enough basketball/football student season tickets were sold.

Because technically you are not supposed to go into the student section; as someone states above, section 28 was opened as GA - and the ticket takers don't give a sht if you sneak over into the student section.  The first game, by the time half time came around, we had snuck all the way over to ICAT, which was a huge NO NO back in the day.   I attribute this to the fact that KSU students haven't witnessed good football in over six years and they just plain suck as football fans.
The comments posted above do not necessarily reflect the views and opinions of FBWillie

Sadly, it seems that the people in the ticket office are the people that know the least about how ticketing works.  Never believe anything those retards tell you, even if you do go up there and talk to them personally.

Agreed.  Buy season tickets and you won't have a problem.

On the one hand, I suppose it's nice that you're now ready to jump back on the band wagon.  I'd like to see more fans in the stands.

On the other hand, I have always hated bandwagon fans.

I'm torn on this one, bleedpurple7.  I'm gonna take the night to think about, and come back tomorrow to judge you.

Bleedpurple is probably just a ku sock.  It should be mandatory for you to have season tickets in order to even use that name.  For god sakes its not that expensive when your a student, you don't have the expense of driving to the game or having to even eat out.  Just get a freakin case of beer and get your @$$ down to the game.  Now stop  :crybaby: because you have to pay more for single game ticket.

    The "other" KSU
I clearly remember punking out some FR Frat douches who attempted to "reserve" an entire row in the student section. There was one at each end of the row. They looked at us and said in a VERY errogant tone, "These are reserved". To this I said, "Thank you, I appreciate that." and proceeded to scoot right on in with my bretheren. When the other douches would show up, they were pissed - but we didn't give a frack.

Any students who dont buy those duckets are dip$hits who dont know the deal that they are getting. I am sure that little Maryanne Rottencrotch has asked them to come with her for some stupid event that was scheuduled for the same time as the game. NOW, they want to attend the uk game because that is the only one that he is allowed to attend. Pathetic.
