Will everyone still be playing this "Who is going to win the North because it can't possibly be Kansas State" game?

OU isn't that good.  This game will come down to turnovers and special teams.

Make it happen.

Something makes me think that Bill Snyder is hoping for something different.  There's no reason we can't win this game.

Just have fun.  Don't take it too serious.  Gameplan for ku/MU all week.  Ask Bob if he would run ku/MU's offense and defense.  At halftime watch ku/MU game film.

Fantastic idea.  I was thinking last night we should gameplan for mu/ku and just kneel out the entire game.  No reason to get someone hurt trying to prove something.  Especially with how bad we need a ku and or mu win.  I think Bob would probably go with your plan in the second half after they are up by 63.  I think he technically owes us.  He wouldn't do it in the first because if he runs ku or mu's defense all game he'd lose.

I think I read these exact same posts back in 2003.

If Snyder isn't convinced that we're going to win this game he will come out with an announcement on Thursday that the entire team has the swine flu and we're forfeiting.

No injuries and an extra week to prepare for ku.

If this game happens, we win.

Do you think we could get away with what Cem Blasflos suggested we do or would they make us reschedule the game for a later date?

Very likely that swine flu could sweep through the team at a later date.

No Joking; either I'm crazy or I heard that Jeffrey Fitzgerald had it and he didn't practice all week leading up to yesterday.  Did anyone else hear this?

Yes, but there was no mention of swine flu. Pretty sure it was the regular flu, but I could be wrong.

Why do you think Bill Snyder is having the government build their biodefense lab right across the street from his stadium?

Why do you think he sent Sebelius to Washington right before the outbreak of "swine flu"  (wink, wink, nudge, nudge)?

They may have more tradition, they may have more talent, they may copy our schemes and steal our coaches, but do they have chemical and biological weapons?  I don't think so.

We won't win a night game in Norman.  Look at thier home record they don't lose games in Norman especially not at night.  No reason to even dream about winning this one.  Just hope for no injuries and not too many turnovers to keep the score somewhat respectable.

Had a Dr. tell me last week that it's actually a bit early for seasonal flu and most people that say they have the flu now, it's likely that it's either just a sinus infection or H1N1.  people aren't really expecting seasonal flu to hit until late Nov - through March. or whenever temperatures stay below 40 for an entire week.

And people without insurance aren't getting the actual test to see what it is because it's too costly; Dr's are just treating it like the flu if it looks like the flu - unless the patient is under the age of 15 or over 65 or in just really bad health.  My bet is J Fitzgerald never got a test considering he's a fuqing beast in tip top health.

I sure hope we see a lot of Carson at QB and Valentine at RB.  Maybe give some backups on D a lot of time.

And those jerks at the CDC.  WHAT DO THEY KNOW?  Freaking liberal healers dedicated to helping humanity!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, I just hope our guys all get it this week so that they have time to recover before our chilly night game against ku.

    Fear the Brick
Let's see, the last time I went down to Norman, some kid blew himself up outside the stadium and as I was walking into the stadium a group of medics (one of which was on top of the guy performing CPR) was rushing some dude (who later apparently died or was dead when they were wheeling him past me) on a gurney to an ambulance.  so if no one dies this time, I'll consider it a good trip.

Did you slip Robert one of your sodium free weenies afterward? :WeirdRobert:

I couldn't guarantee that my weenie was sodium free.  I would have let him lick it just to see, but he didn't ask.  He claimed that there were plenty of weenies at your tailgate.

"flu season" has nothing to do with temperature...it's sunlight exposure
