You can't be racist and like basketball.
Are we 5-3 right now?

Those first three games could have given Josh a lot of yards, touchdowns, and confidence.

We could have easily lost the ISU game had he started.
We may have won the Baylor game had he had the experience..

Toss-up.

Dissagree.  D. Meier didn't do anything that game.  All of our points came from ST and Defense.  All Freeman would have had to do was be just as good as Meier and we would have won that game. I have a feeling that the homerun toss to open up the season would have not been an interception as Freeman probably would have overthrown everyone.

When people talk about Meier vs. Freeman in favor of DM, all they talk about is how Meier won't do as much to LOSE the game for you, and fail to mention that he does nothing that will WIN the game.

Like I said - toss up.  No guarantee we would have beat Baylor, either.

    THE b IS NOT CAPITALIZED
I've never understood why people even take the time to ponder questions like this.

Freeman could have lead them to a flawless season by having the early experience... or he could have gotten injured on the fifth play of the game and you lose games that you've currently won because of it.

If Freeman did start the first game, there would be more of an uproar about Prince promising the starting job.
I'm telling you, this is not ANYTHING like the team from the beginning of conference play. You will see no more blowouts like what happened in OOC.  If we lose, it will not because these kids gave up, and it will be at the buzzer. -Rodless, before 97-70

I also guarantee there would be people wanting Dylan in at QB.

I don't understand why you post here...

I think that's reason #1 Freeman didn't start.  Prince was a &@#%ing p***y.

I don't think Freeman would have us at any better record than if he started the Ill State game.  We probably lose to Ill St. but I would think we might have beaten Baylor.  Every other game would have probably had the same outcome.  It's not that Josh isn't a difference maker, it's just that our o-line is so incredibly horrible.

We had 206 yards of offense against Ill. State.  I don't think Freeman does any worse than that.

Probably not, but based on his propensity to throw interceptions, other than OSU, I'd think he'd have turned it over as much as Meier, if not more in that game.  But then again, maybe we throw the OSU game plan at Ill State and actually commit to running the ball. Against Baylor if he'd of had 4 starts under his belt, probably changes that outcome.

What D. Meier contributed to Ill State game:

PASSING      Cmp-Att-Int  Yds  TD  Long  Sack
Meier, Dylan   15-26-2       163  0      31     2
RUSHING        No.  Gain  Loss  Net  TD  Lg  Avg.
Meier, Dylan      2      0     10  -10     0  0    -5.0

One of those completions was a two pt. conversion. (boot-leg to the TE if anyone is curious) And if I remember correctly his first Int. lead to an ISU scoring drive.

Meier didn't do anything to help us win that game, nor did he do anything to keep us from losing.
