Dear ticket holder,

Thank you for your support of K-State Athletics, and the K-State Men’s Basketball team.  K-State is known around the country for the electric environment at Bramlage Coliseum, and our Student Section is known as one of the loudest in America!
I wanted to make sure you are aware of the updated game day policies at Bramlage Coliseum and a new reward system for the ku game, so that when the Wildcats take the floor on November 8th against Pittsburg State, you will be fully prepared to show up to cheer on the Cats!
On game days, the following procedures will be in place:
·                The top of Section 18, rows 13-31, as well as Sections 19, 20, and 21 are reserved for ICAT ticket holders.  All students in these sections will be required to wear an ICAT wristband which will be issued upon entry into the arena.

·                General Admission seating is in Sections 22, 23, 24, and 25.

·                Anyone using student tickets will be required to show a student ID to be admitted into Bramlage Coliseum.

·                Student seating is first-come first-served for all games with exception to the game against ku.*  Please note: due to more tickets being sold than the student allotment in the arena, possession of a ticket DOES NOT guarantee entry into the arena.  For high-demand games, come early!

·                Overnight Camping is not permitted at Bramlage Coliseum.  Lineup for entry into the arena will begin at 6:00 AM on game days.

·                The Southeast Entrance will open 90 minutes before tipoff for ICAT ticket holders, and 75 minutes before tipoff for General Admission ticket holders.

·                At 30 minutes before tipoff, chains protecting the ICAT sections will be dropped, and GA ticket holders will be allowed to fill in any open seats in Sections 18, 19, 20, and 21.

*ku Student Ticket Holder Line-up Registration
In order to ensure entry into the ku game is done as safely and fairly as possible, the Athletics Department in cooperation with SGA is implementing a preregistration procedure.  As a part of this procedure, your order of entry into the ku game will be based on the number of Men’s Basketball games you attend prior to the ku game on January 30.
·                You will register in groups consisting of 1-10 people.  This then is your line-up group for the game.

·                The average number of games attended by the members of the registered group will determine their place in line.

·                Students will receive one point for each men’s basketball game attended prior to the ku game.

·                There are nine home games in the student ticket package before the ku game, therefore the total points possible will be nine.  These nine  games are:

o    11/8 – Pittsburg State
o    11/13 – Loyola Chicago
o    11/15 – Western Illinois
o    12/1 – Fort Hays State
o    12/5 – Washington State
o    12/8 – Xavier
o    1/12 – Texas A&M
o    1/18 - Texas
o    1/23 – Oklahoma State

·                Any student purchasing a ticket to the IUPUI game at the Sprint Center in Kansas City will receive a bonus point, but you cannot exceed nine total points.  This will make it possible to makeup one point if you cannot attend a game.

·                Once registered in a group, individuals may not switch.

·                Registration of groups will be online at www.kstatesports.com/powercatpregame, and will begin at 9:00 AM on November 16.

·                To register, log on to www.kstatesports.com/powercatpregame, then follow the link to “Register my group.”  You will then fill out the registration form with the names, eID’s, and Wildcat ID #’s of all individuals in your group.  You will also create a group name at this time.

·                Students must sign up their group online by Jan 22 using Wildcat ID #.

·                In the event of a tie, the group which registers first will receive priority in the line.

·                If you are not able to attend, but would like a friend to use your ticket, you must register with your Wildcat ID #, and your friend will be required to have your student ID card.

·                You will be notified of lineup and ESPN GameDay entry procedures as details become available in coming weeks.  For more information, visit www.kstatesports.com/powercatpregame.

If you have any questions or comments about these procedures, feel free to contact Nate Warren at 785-532-7932, or via email at [email protected].

Go Cats!

Insurance contracts are less wordy.  But in reality, just go to the games, bring as many friends with you as you can, and you don't have to freeze your ass off overnight before any game.  The registration is an extra step that probably takes a couple minutes.  I know how college students are strapped for time.

It seems to me a little crazy to keep track of how many games the students go to. You need to go to the games to have a chance at getting into the ku game. However, they have oversold tickets by so much, trying to pack everyone into the games will be impossible. I think they really messed up by only offereing combo deals. There is no way that the whole student section for football can fit into the basketball student section. I guess I just expect that when I pay $300+ for tickets on top of paying close to $25,000 a year to go to school here I should have more of a guarantee that I can get into the games.

:dunno: I always wait in line hours before the game, so the fact that they oversold doesn't really bother me.

The policies for this year are better than I figured they'd be. I had heard they were trying to do a lottery system like they did for last year's uk game for EVERY conference game this year. That would have straight up sucked.

AFAIK, they've been keeping track of what games students have been going to for at least a couple years now. A year or two ago I think they gave a card signed by the team to students that went to every home game that season. I remember being pissed that I missed out on it since I missed one non-con game.

That's not true. I haven't missed a home basketball or football game in my 2+ years here so far and never received any reward. I'm just worried that I may not be able to make it to a game because they were irresponsible and oversold the student section. For everyone to pay $300+ for a chance to get a ticket to a game seems a little rediculous.

They've been overselling the student section for years, anyone who got to the ku game last year any later than one hour prior to tipoff found this out. Stop being so dramatic.

It's a great idea. It ensures that only the hardcore fans will be courtside for ku, unlike in the lottery system last year.  Hopefully it will boost attendance at some of the other games too.

Scares the f*ck out of me though, because I have to work every weekday.  I can almost always just leave whenever I want, but what if I need to meet a deadline and miss a game :ohno:

Don't wanna miss the ku game

Finally . . . the KSU AD who is making the students accountable for consistently not filling the student section, despite cheap ass tickets and the best seats in the house.

Great Job ADJC.

Good job ADJC.  Reward the students who come to the games.  F*ck the students who only show up for the ku game.

Insurance contracts are less wordy.  But in reality, just go to the games, bring as many friends with you as you can, and you don't have to freeze your ass off overnight before any game.  The registration is an extra step that probably takes a couple minutes.  I know how college students are strapped for time.

 QFT, I took up smoking during college I was so bored with all the free time.  You go from being at high school from 7am to 7pm (if you played a sport) 5 days a week, to having 15 hours a week of class.

Must have been hugg's year.  I went to every game for 07-08 and got nothing.

What they gave out at the end of Hugg's year was an uncut sheet of the promotional 16-card set which was autographed by every player.  A very nice item to have, and one I would dearly love to buy if anyone here knows anybody who has one.  There were only 12-15 given out as I recall.  I've got most of the uncut sheets from both the men's and women's card sets going back to 2003, although last year they switched to normal-sized individual cards and did not produce any uncut sheets.  If anyone wants to buy, sell, or trade cards, send me a pm.

Doom:  I was told that students attending all games in 07-08 would get an uncut sheet as a reward (although probably not signed because there were way more that year than the year before).  Maybe I was told wrong, though.  I've got a ton of uncut sheets from that year.

The students in the Huggy/Martin era have really had it nice. I was a student during the F'n Wooly era and didn't miss any games. During non-con games, my friends and I were asked to move to the Alumni side of the stadium on several occasions to sit court-side just behind the TV crew. There was no one else in the stadium and they needed people to sit behind the TV commentators during their pre-game and halftime analysis to make it look like anyone showed up. What I'm getting at is I showed up and watched all that terrible basketball and got nodda. Now they're rewarding kids that show up to every game to watch some of the best teams this schools had in 2 decades. Color me jealous.

Exactly. I was just glad they didn't do that stupid fracking lottery system this year. Wound up getting terrible seats last year. Plus it mixed up all of the true EMAWs around the ku-game only types.  :yuck:
