so i had an M.R.I. on my shoulder yesterday, can I just say how awesome these things are?  seriously, has anyone else here had one?  aren't they great?
no more boozing for me on weekends (sorry Fats, you're gonna have to party alone from here on out), it's all M.R.I. - all weekend.

what is gad?
and yeah, went over my bars this spring while flying down a trail going ~30 mph.  i flew upside down for a ways.  scary but the M.R.I. made it worth it.

a true sensory experience, i recommend each and every one of you guys go M.R.I. it up this weekend while celebrating the KATS win over CU BUFF.

gad is gadolinium and is sometimes injected depending on what they're looking for, where, etc.

***true mri story alert****

blind bob was drinking in auntie maes one afternoon ten years ago. i happened to be there. he goes upstairs to go home and everybody is like "bye, bro. catcha later" and he disappears. fifteen minutes later a lifeless body falls horizontally over the ledge at the top of the stairs and lands horizontally onto the floor. head totally nailed the floor. hard. thought he was dead. blood pouring from under his head. ambulance called. bobby to the hospital. they strap him in for an mri to check out his head. halfway through the test an alarm goes off and the machine stops. BB had pulled a pack of smokes from his shirt pocket and lit it up. miss that guy.

what's an MRI cost?  Will ObamaCare make them easier or more difficult to obtain?

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

I was there that night.  And it was much better than an MRI.

he had a total of around four bad falls in that place. the time i'm talking about was the worst. it was around 7:00pm maybe. only four of us there. really, honestly thought he was dead. maybe the scardest i've ever been. dunno.

Wow. Never would have guessed he went over the ledge more than once.  How does it happen even once?

good question. sometimes he'd try to navigate the stars on his own (wasn't supposed to) after about 10 scotch and sodas. not really a good idea for a sixty year old blind guy with bad posture and slow reflexes. Maes finally had to stop serving him cause of their insurance or something not allowing it. he was actually kind of not allowed in their for a while for insurance reasons too i think.

Probably the blindness.

I frequented Mae's during that stretch as well.  Always amazed me that out of all the bars that Blind Bob would pick one that required you to navigate steep, slippery stairs.  I have fallen on those freaking things sober.

my guess would be that there were a couple of things at play here.

1)maes had pretty cheap well drinks.
2)maes used to open at 1:00 every day. not all places would open that early.
3)bobby was allowed to run a tab.
4)it was not uncommon for bobby to order drinks and then have the bartender at the time "forget" to put the drink on his tab.
5)the bartenders would also makes his scotch and sodas in rock glasses that would include about a seven count of scotch, so he was getting doubles for the cost of a single and only actually being charged for about half of what he ordered.

Blindness is not a reason for going over that ledge.  Intoxication is.  So is not wanting to live.

Open at 1PM -- allowing Bob 6 hours of "courage-building" at the Aggie Lou before hand.

How long did they give you Fats?  Let's have a "living funeral."  I'll volunteer to MC.  I have experience in the performing arts.

don't worry, i was fully in the pipe laying down with the noise raining down on me from all directions.  it's what made it so cool.  i don't think that there's a rated "G" experience when it comes to Party R.I.'s
