The Cyclones are 3-5 and winless in the Big XII. They barely beat a 2-6 Toledo team and a 1-6 UNLV team. They did beat a decent Northern Iowa team. Other then that they've lost to (ranked teams) Iowa, Texas, Nebraska and Oklahoma.

QB Bret Meyer averages 12.5 yards/completion but only has one more TD (10) then he does INT(9). He did throw 2 TD passes vs. Texas. He has 6 rushing TD's but 3 of them came vs. Toledo.

RB Stevie Hicks has 523 yards on 107 carries (4.9 yards/carry) and his average has been pretty consistant in each Big XII game.

WR's Todd Blythe and Austin Flynn average 15 and 13 yards/catch respectively. Blythe has caught 7 of Meyer's 10 TD passes. WR Jon Davis and TE's Walter Nickel and Ben Barkema have the others. Six receivers average double digits yards/catch for the Cyclones.

RT Aaron Brant is 6'7" 320 lbs and has started 41 straight games. C Scott Stephenson didn't play in the spring due to shoulder surgery. 4 of the 5 starters (LT Scott Fisher, Brant, G Seth Zehr and Stephenson) are seniors.

Defensively, the Cyclones are lead by DT Brent Curvey and DE Shawn Moorehead. They are the only two returning starters because 2 players were dismissed from the team during the offseason. Sophomore LB Tyrone McKenzie is another player to look out for.

The youth on defense is showing.....The Cyclones are giving up 31 points/game. Of course the Cats are only averaging 15 points/game in Big XII play.

This is a dreadful, dreadful football team. If K-State can't win Saturday, the season really is over.

I don't need to hear another word, my man JMART, can do no wrong in my eyes(except ignore my questions from time to time.)  If we can't beat ISU, then we are a sad, sad team.

I thought this had already been established back when we hung half a six on Baylor?

Something I just saw; ISU allows opponents to complete 74% of their passes and has given up 19 TD passes in 8 games.  If there is a game to get our passing game going, this is it.  Plus we can run the ball on them as well.  I'd like to see at least 3 offensive TDs vs the Clones.

I know, and I'm with you on that.  I've got everything staked in us having a breakout game this week.
