with 7 pillows. keep my window open all day long so it gets nice and cold. crank up the fans. usually hit the sack between 3am-5am, get up around noon. rinse and repeat.

Get up around noon? Damn your lucky. It's also ridiculous hot in my apartment. I'm talking high 70s - low 80s. Opened all the windows and it didn't help at all so now the ac is on and it's much nicer in here.

I'm definitely not going to my 8:30 later today. I will update when I wake up. Wish me luck everyone

1.  Get off of the &@#%ing computer.  TV's and computers keep you awake.

2.  Drink a glass of milk.

3.  Fan or song that will drown out thoughts played on repeat.

I still want my cooler, bitches!

That's why if i fall asleep on the couch early, i try to just go to bed. Otherwise i will be up later than i wanted, and dragging ass the next morning.

I read in bed until I start to fall asleep.  Also, keep the temp. of the house at the perfect sleeping temp. for you at all times.  I laugh at people who sweat/shiver all night in an effort to save 25 cents worth of electricity/gas.

If you work out and exercise pretty good, you will fall asleep like a baby. At least it has been working for me for the last week. Also found if i let my mind wander, i will be up later. Just shut the brain down, or think about boobies.

Just stay awake until you can't any longer.  Then, in the morning, suck it up instead of being a wuss.

Also, try to go to bed and get up on the weekends at the same time you do on weekdays.

Yeah, that would be 11 pm and 5:30am for me. Doesn't work for me. I sleep in WAY too long on weekends, and love it.

Cave mentality when it comes to sleeping. Bedroom should be cool, quiet, and dark.

Also I downloaded this retardedly elite 20 minute tropical thunderstorm/rain shower diddy that puts me right out.

If you come into my room at night its like a gotdamned rain forest cafe. Minus the crapty food and animatronics.

wow. do not do this. those mornings are the worst feelings in the worlds.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Honestly? Think about something (KSU athletics, ping pong, or tennis usually do it) to take my mind off of not sleeping so I can actually sleep....

Okay, I'm going to take this seriously, so here is what my mother taught me.   Concentrate on relaxing your body in segments.  Like fingers, then hands, then arms, then shoulders, etc, spending at least a little time on each.  Feel yourself getting heavier.  Once you've reached complete relaxation concentrate on seeing only black, no other thoughts.  Oh, and I like to drink about a quart of vodka just before I lay down too.  HTH!

Sleep experts say not to do anything in bed except sex and sleep.  No TV, no reading, nothing.  It trains the mind to be active in a place where you are trying to sleep.

I think I've trained my mind to fall instantly asleep when I start reading in the prone position.  Like, if I have to study or something I have to sit at a table or it's lights out.

Try this move.  Lie on your back and close your eyes, then begin counting in your head as you take slow, deep breaths in.  Exhale slowly, too.  However long it takes you to exhale is two "counts" as long as what you counted to when you were just inhaling.  In other words, like this.

Inhale slowly:  "Ooonnnee........tttwwwwoooooo"
then exhale even slower: "Ooooonnnneeee......tttwwwwoooo....ttthhhhrrreeeeee.......fffffffooooouuuurrrr."

Add one number each time.  So the next inhale/exhale cycle would be:
Inhale slowly:  "Ooonnnee........tttwwwwoooooo.....threeeeee......"
then exhale even slower: "Oooonneeee......tttwwwwoooo....ttthhhhrrreeeeee.......ffffooooouuurrr.....ffffiiiiiivvveee."

And the one after that you count slowly to four when you inhale, and count to six when you exhale.  Keep going until you're breathing so slowly that it kinda strains your lungs a little bit.  When this happens, start the cycle over.

Slows my heart rate down bigtime.  'ts kinda gay but it works, so  :shy:

Or you could just masturbate, and that's instant

History. Channel.

The key is to find some old documentary type shows about things that actually interest you. DVR is a must.

My fall backs are: Russia Land of the Czars, The real west, Warlords, Fog of War, pretty much anything you watched in High School or college history classes.

I think my grandpa killed somebody once, but he never liked to talk about Kent State.

This; there will be times when I feel like I could lay in bed till sunrise; a little head/ass/or hand puts me out before I can even clean off.   Just let it dry and scratch it off in the morning.

I'm really weird in falling asleep. I sleep with the lights and tv on and without a pillow. Is there anyone else like this? I don't have any problem going to sleep like this, or kno anyone else that sleeps like this.
