Our fanbase doesn't leave during halftime in a close game and never come back.

Your fanbase just doesn't show up at all.  44,000 for a conference game?  LMAO!

I never said that was a fantastic turnout, but if ku was to get beat 66-14 the week before they would be lucky to fill the stadium with 35k.

It's even funnier knowing that ku is fielding a ranked team with their first real chance to beat 1 of the 2 dominant south powers, and they've needed every matter of promos, groups sales, ticket packs etc. etc. to try and get all the tickets moved.

Sad . . .

Bentard K-State is averaging 48,000 a game for an unranked team . . . it's always funny to read people like Bentard bringing that up when for years ku had to lie out their ass to make their attendance numbers even look halfway respectable.

You mean like the times they had 30,000 at the game after saying they sold 45,000+ tix?  :snicker:

OU returned some of their allotment, dumbasss.  44,000 for a conference game is pathetic.

Exactly . . . a school with over 30,000 students that needs every matter of promos, ticket packs and giveaways to fill a 50,000 seat stadium while they field a ranked team.

Sad . . .

Nobody cares what kind of attendance records ku sets Bentard . . . how hard can it be for a school of 30,000 plus students with 100K plus alumni within an hour, and KC just down the road to fill a 50,000 seat stadium . . . not hard.

48,000 for the first conference home game at a school with 30,000 students,  over 100K alumni within an hour, and KC just down the road, and fielding an undefeated ranked team . . . is pathetic.

So then wouldn't you also agree that ku football players commenting on half the stadium leaving at halftime (and not returning) during a close and competitive game is pathetic?

30,057 students . . . and we still can't sell out our 50,000 seat stadium.

Biggest home game in years . . . free tickets available all over the place.

What is this Major League Soccer??

    I survived the Dickey/Parrish era.
OU radio station just reported that there is now room for the OU marching band, their families, former music teachers, people who make instruments, people who have seen an instrument and anyone who has ever spelled a word that had both "o" and "u" in it at uk this weekend.

Based on attendance records, over 4,000 tickets left untouched for the ISU-ku game for an undefeated nationally ranked team.  Post halftime . . . 10,000 empty seats.

Sad . . . and pathetic.

game in Lawrence.

Hey look . . . single game tickets made available . . . $90 bucks a pop.

Hmmm . . . game on ABC . . . $90 bucks buys a lot of beer, burgers, wings, shots and cheese fries at the old sports bar.

That's a lot for one half of a football game.

You mean 10 minutes?

BMWJhawk, will you continue to support your team if/when ku loses this weekend?  Or are you going to join the 15,000 other bandwagon fans that will stop attending free football games?

at any normal school, todd reesing alone would draw 80K+

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

QFT

If Sparkles was with us, we would have to add 20,000 more seats to the stadium.

4-0, nationally ranked . . . Heisman Candidate, 30,000 students, 100K plus alumni within an hour of a 50,000 seat stadium, conference opener . . . 4,000 untouched tickets, 10,000 empty seats after halftime.

LOL at ku "fans".

Stop by your Sprint Human Resources office, show your Sprint ID and get 2 free OU-ku tickets.

After doing some research, ku only had one home conference game in 2004 where 44,000+ people were in attendance. That game was against us (ku's super bowl). The attendance for the other 3 conference home games were all less than 40,000. I can't even imagine the years before that. In 2002, there were more KSU fans in Lawrence at the game than ku fans, which is pathetic.

45,000 FWIW. Get it right. Oh, and we had about 50,000 fans at the Tennessee Tech game, and we were 1-2 at the time (two game losing streak). I don't know about you bmw, but to me that is damn impressive.

Lots of K-Statriots... :piratewave:
