You know Jayhox was primed and ready to come back after a ku beating on BU. He probably had posts already written out to talk about doing what KSU couldn't. Screw you Mangino!

Has the Hoax even been heard from lately??

Or has he just been too "busy" ... I guess the Internet gets shutoff at 6 every night there in KC.

What is Mangino now ... 8-29 in Big 12 play all time??

"Basement finishing" is the new pheasant hunt.

Worn out. Beat down. Tired. Frustrated.

Exhausted.

If it weren't enough to be traveling the last two weeks on business and spending every other available minute finishing my basement . . . watching/listening to ku blow multiple 4th quarter leads has taken it out of me. I have not read all of the apparent epic meltodown around here, but some thoughts:

-- It was much easier when we were really a bad program and these games were over at halftime. Losing repeatedly in the 4th quarter or overtime has taken its toll on me as a long-time ku fan. I was finishing my basement with the help of my K-State father in law. We had the ku and K-State games on the radio. His comment: "At least you guys have hope with a very young team fighting it out in each game. They just don't know how to finish yet. K-State doesn't know where in the hell they are going. Prince has me baffled in all the wrong ways."

-- While it killed me to listen to yet another late meltdown, it was nice to hear a ton of young player making an impact. It is clear that Mangino shook up the lineup this week and the new guys pulled through better than I would have thought. We found a few gems in Jason Thompson, etc. Webb shook off the OSU game pretty well. That is a great sign for the future if some of you have enough patience.

-- Quartaro needs to go. Even if Cornish was limited in his lateral mobility, you still have to give him the ball to keep the defense honest.

-- Herford is on my sh*t list. Can't be trusted. His mental state right now is in disarray for multiple reasons.

-- Meier has shown he can move the ball, get scores, and keep defenses on their heels with his running ability. He also has his brother's magentism for nagging injuries at the worst possible times. (How is that for stating the obvious?) He can be on of the all-time greats at ku if he can learn to protect himself when getting hit.

-- MU really has it going. They are still suspect against decent competition, but got it done at Tech and they are beating the weak teams, as they should. Their game against OU this weekend will tell us quite a bit. They get OU in Columbia while OU is not looking like their usual selves. But a win would be big and a 10+ point win would be huge.

-- I am glad that I am the eternal optimist when it comes to ku football. Mangino's early recruiting struggles are showing themselves now. We have had excellent recruiting the last couple of years and they are playing young now. Good size, speed, etc. While we have blown 4-5 opportunities this year (boy it hurts to type that) we may be a year premature in our perception of having a really strong team.

He even saved the best for last, how precious.

Side note:  I'd hate to be baffled in all the wrong ways as his father-in-law apparently is.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.
