Emerson Biggin's in old town.  Rumblings that former media celebrity type will be in attendance.

SD/Daris, if you've heard from A&M fans re: fighting who are in Wichita but can't get to the game in Manhattan, please send them my way (808 E. Douglas).

Will do, I'm spent.

I hope you brought some moist towelettes. It would be bad form, dare I say, a faux pas to enter BSFS with aTm Aggie blood and spit all over your knuckles.

I got too pak'd to give an accurate report, but I can tell from the pictures on my cell phone and twitter that it was pretty elite.  Levi is supposed to be giving a proper report, him being a journalist and all.

The first-ever Texas A&M-@-Kansas-State-Wichita-Katpak'rs event.

Attendees: Trim. Levi. Levi's wife (for the first half).

Hosted by: The fine folks at Emerson Biggin's, 808 E. Douglas.

The night opened a a little after 5:30 the smaller, back room at EB's. At first, it was just the three of us, but shortly before kick-off a nice amount of emaw filled in around us. If I remember, there are seven TVs in the back room, and for most of the evening, six were tuned into KSU-A&M and one had ku-CU.

Unable to handle the Kats early scoring barrage, all of the TVs in the establishment went blank with a little "no signal" box dancing around the screen — we still had audio, luckily. By the time the technical gurus at EB's found the remotes, Kats led 17-0.

About that same time a group of about six Kat fans dressed in all sorts of fancy attire, including ties, prom dresses :dunno: and maybe even a tiara took over the table next to us. One of the finely dressed young men asked Trim if Brandon Herald was playing. Trim LOL'd then explained that Kellis had broken the story that Harold had quit the team on KSUFans.com earlier in the week. His reaction was mostly  , with a little   and  :crybaby: mixed in.

As the night wore on and 1998 developed on the TVs in front of us — Kats rolling hapless opponent, ku treading Rocky Mountain Air — two other groups of note joined us in the room.

Group 1 - About 15 middle-aged, mostly overweight women. Never confirmed the reason why they were out and about that night, but most likely it was a celebration of one of the elders having the chance to shed her 'spinster' tag in the coming weeks. But who really knows. Anyway, they were a bunch cackling hens, for sure. At one point Trim turned quickly and shouted "SHHHHH!" at two of them who were engaged in a tedious conversation about gardening or laundry or sewing or something. They didn't look back, but they did quiet down. Great display of emaw power from Trim.

Group 2 - A group of about 12 mostly ku fans, both male and female, in their low to mid 20s, apparently playing a bar game called "bar golf" Again, :dunno:. This quickly became our favorite group of the night. Most notable of this group was Mike. He sat down at our table, uninvited of course. He was either drunk or dumb. By this point, the Kats were up a million, so our attention turned to getting to know Mike.

I asked Mike if I could call him Joel, because he looks like a guy I know named Joel. He frowned and, in the most defeated voice ever, said he was against us doing that. Turns out, the girl he likes is having relations with a guy named Joel. Trim and I proceeded to loudly praise this Joel character for being able to get the girl from Mike and being generally awesome. Mike was furious, and told Trim to STFU. Not a good idea. Trim verbally harassed Mike, telling him that this was a "Joel Table" and if he was going to sit here, he would have to not only praise Joel for being such a fine individual, but also contribute in the praise. Mike apologized for the STFU and we went on.

Mike told us that, while Joel had taken his true love, he was having relations — as recently as the night before — with a girl in the group he came with. This was a fascinating development, so I told him we had to talk to this girl. Her name was .... can't remember. Anyway, she was across the room and he shouted her name several times, and she kept giving him the "give me a minute" signal. This continued on until he got so annoyed he replaced her name with "Bitch". So for the next 30 seconds he shouted across the room: "Hey Bitch, come here!" Not awkward. Fun.

I should mention that by this time, Todd had thrown the game away for ku, and the Buffaloes were storming the field. This rash of ku fans around us were crushed. Crushed to the point that I think one of them may have even noticed the game had ended. He shrugged and walked off.

Finally, to finish up Group 2, another girl from the group ... can't remember her name either, maybe Lisa, but probably not ... stood between Trim and I. She was wearing a ku shirt and saw Trim's Kat hat and frowned. "Ew, K-State," she said. "I hate K-State." Trim said something along the lines of "I figured." But she continues on, "Sorry, but I work at a restaurant, and K-State fans that come in don't tip very well." Trim responds, "I didn't ask."

I asked this young lady if she went to ku. She said no.

When the games ended, we went next door to Rock Island Live, a new spot in the back of EB's where they play live music on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Luckily, it was hip hop night. Trim entered the bar area, bypassing the doorman with a quick "What's up, man?" I lagged behind enough for the doorman to stop me: "$3," he said. So I paid a $3 cover, and Trim got in free.

The first act was a white hip-hop artist. He was talented. So talented in fact, I tracked him down after he exited the stage and Trim snapped our picture together.

From there, things got blurry. I do remember there was a brush artist on stage with the act after the white dude. Never saw such a thing, still don't understand it.

From there, we called it a night. And what a  :kstatriot: night it was.

I'm sure I forgot something. And when Trim posts some pics from the evening, it will probably spark a memory or two. Otherwise, that's all from the October Wichita Katpak'r recap.

EDIT: It should be noted that I am happily married and Trim has a girlfriend. He was generally offensive to anyone who wasn't a Katpak'r. I am fairly social in those situations, asking a hundred questions and trying to learn everyone's name so I can make fun of them later. It was an interesting mix that made for several good stories.

I'd forgotten about shushing the crowd.  Hills-watchers, it was as elite Spencer-esque as it sounds.

I think Levi mixed up some of the Harold/Kellis story.  I told the guy in the bar that it had been broken on ksufans, but not by Kellis.  I then later tweeted congrats to the real Kellis for breaking the story on ksufans.

I just remembered that even though I was way more pak'd than Levi, at one point he asked me why Keithen Valentine and Jarell Childs wore their first initial on their jerseys and I was rapidly able to answer Grant Valentine and Eric Childs and even tossed in a sakcmaster reference.

Our waitress didn't know anything about football, but was very helpful even with all the tv difficulties all night.  At one point, she looked at the score and then us and said "you guys are killin' it" just like TJ Lavin in a Real World Road Rules Challenge.

There was a dude in shorts and sunglasses the whole time:

Not sure which group this girl was from, but she was wearing a ku beret:

Mike (who I think Levi underestimated just how badly I was berating):

Possibly Mike's bitch or the girl he liked that Joel was doing :dunno: :

Prior to the white guy rapping, there was a team of black guys rapping.  I think maybe one of them was a semi-pro rapper and the rest were just buddies who decided they'd rap for the night too.  I remember zoning out and trying to come up with a katpak rap that I could go up and do as I was fairly sure I could do as well as them.  I kept only getting to 5 things that I could keep straight that rhymed with pak.  The team of black guys also had a white DJ who brought his turntables up in what looked like a tennis bag and that he played out of with the bag sitting on some stools.  He could only keep the music going for about 45 seconds.  It appeared the black rappers/hanger-ons were going to kill him.

Anyway, white rapper:

Levi and white rapper:

Some kind of manager guy who looked like Suge Knight and reminded Levi and I of all the RP/Suge comparisons:

We left around 12:30.  What Levi didn't know until this morning (and hence the reason for his addendum) is that my girl was calling me at 12:10 and I couldn't hear the phone due to the rappers.  Apparently, this douchebag that hates me and has a crush on my girl was there and had been texting her that I (and maybe Levi, I didn't get to see the texts) were hitting on girls.  I'm not sure if he was just trying to &@#% with me or if he was so stupid that he thought the above-described katpak was hitting on girls, although it would be tough to be so stupid to think my hitting-on wardrobe is full katpak gear with Hawaiian pizza stains on my shirt.  So I got to deal with that for another couple days and could not revel at all in the 62-14 ass-kicking.  Suffice to say, this dude will be receiving a beatdown that makes what SD and Chingon did to those aggie fans look like a kumbaya gathering.

All in all, good pak.  Between my crowd control, demoralizing of Mike, ownage of the ku people, and bypassing of cover charges, pretty good warmup for Vegas pak'ing, which reminds me that on top of all the above, Levi was sold hard on Vegas and his wife even seemed on board with him going.  :runaway:

Levi's report was good and needed.  There's a number of things I wouldn't have remembered without reading his first.  I just added a little color to his.

If there's anything computer-ish (think Kevin Rizzo or T.Boone) I need for the destruction, you'll be the first to know.  What's unfortunate is that I couldn't hear the phone at 12.  You can tell I already had a little bit of angried-up in me towards all non-emaws.  If I'd gotten to the bottom of this right then while the douche was still there, this would've been the greatest pak ever.

You probably should have turned the table on you GF and ask why this douche has her phone #, accuse her of cheating on you and call her lots of bad names.  She should apologize and when she does tell her she needs to change her cell # and that she can only take calls/texts from you or her parents.

To clarify, Trim didn't give credit to Kellis for breaking the Harold story, just said it was broken on KSUFans. In the recap, I was trying to make a subtle, however dumb, joke.

SD, you're right, it does seem like we were attending completely different KatPak. It's obvious the Vegas recap will have to be a collaborative effort.

You guys didn't mention Me, the Wife and friend who showed up late in the first half.  I was the guy with the gray cap with the loud redhead(not my wife).  that group of ladies that showed up were uk fans and my wife spent most of the second half pissing them off.  We left after the 3rd and hit the bars.

Did we interact with you at all?  You def should've pak'd with us and more importantly, you should join wichita katpak'rs.  It's currently an elite club of 2, which isn't a good thing.  KC and even omaha pak'rs put ours to shame.

Trim, anything going on this weekend for Cu? I think I'd be interested since nobody I hang out with enjoys sports of any sort.
