Art Alvarez just texted me to alert me that he and Freddy A. will be in Manhattan this weekend. He said to let him know if I needed anything, etc. That's how me and Art roll...

Seriously, though, I told him my current situation but that I still do some K-State related stuff, i.e. - post here. I will call him Sunday - after the Bengals/Texans, of course - and ask him WHATEVER YOU WANT. I'm dead serious about this, but I'm going to keep the cap at 10 questions. So, whatever you have to do to pare the list down to 10, do so. Work together, debate, whatever - but I'll ask your questions because, really, I have none. But I do have access.  :)

JM: "Freddy/Art, what do you think Freddy's style of play will bring the Wildcats something down low that they don't already have?"

edit, are you going to talk to Freddy or Art?

"Unless you're a ku fan you don't want to watch a game at the fieldhouse. You'll never see more home cooking in your life. The last game I watched there Larry got the boot and I didn't blame him a bit. Only ball game I've ever walked out on in my life, besides, the facility is a piece of ****."

ask him lots of questions about angel rodriguez tricoche.  really egg him on about it and see if you can get something particularly outrageous.
"these are no longer “games” in the commonly accepted sense of the term. these are free throw shooting contests leavened by the occasional sprint to the other end of the floor."

Ask him why Freddy didn't commit (do not ask if he did in fact commit) :dunno:

Ask him, since all his players are future lottery picks, why he doesn't try to get the Tropics NBA status?

    Hey, basketball!!!
Ask him who else other than Angel from his neck of the woods is Frank/Dalonte looking at for the next couple of classes.

Oh, and ask him how much does Frank love K-State and if he gets an offer from a Big East school after this season, in his honest opinion, would he take it? :ohno:

How many schools really offered Freddy.  AA has tended to use a bit of hyperbole in the past.

also, ask him if he were in charge of the NCAA, what measures would he take to make sure that what happened to Freddy at FIU, being denied a release, doesn't happen to other players in the future.

1.  Art has said in the past that Freddy may commit as soon as he has a visit to a school that "fits," and forgo other visits.  Did KSU "fit?"

2.  Art has said in the past that Freddy may leap directly from Juco to "the pro's."  In Art's opinion, is that exclusively for the NBA, or is Freddy in a position financially/life-goal wise where ANY "professional" opportunity is favorable versus one more year in school?   Ask Art, "Gun to your head, what do you predict Freddy will do...go pro in 2010 or play D1A basketball?"

Might as well ask him where if he has a gun to his head.

Jeff,

Thanks for the doing a job for free that others are unwilling or incapable of doing for pay.

God bless you and your charitable hand outs.  You're like a soup kitchen for K-State basketball recruiting information.

Be sure to ask Art how he enjoyed his jet service flight on American Airlines with direct connection to Manhattan from Dallas.

Ask him if he has anything interesting to say about the Rice Owls.  I figure you need all the help you can get with material for that beat.

Ask him what you should wear for the Vegas game when the National KatPak Conference 2009 is absolutely tearing that city apart.

:impatient:

We need to be patient.  Skip Holtz's crew fist &@#%ed the Owls this past weekend and Jeff is busy getting the details of the whole ugly ordeal down on paper.

Jeff, feel free to rub the whole Cosh thing in Skip's face.
