    This ZERO is my Hero
With ISU at home, and CU on the road, those are two winnable games.  How winnable?  I have no doubt we can win, but that doesn't mean we will.  CU will be a tough road game, but I think we can win.  Then a Texas loss.  Then to Lawrence where we could be losing by 20 in the 4th and still win the game.  I think the ku game is a win as well.

7-5.  I think it hinges on whether this offense can make some strides.  We made some drives in the MU game, it just now comes down to finishing.  Showing some improvement on offense would go along way to helping next year too.

This season isn't over yet...unless we lose to ISU

If we slightly exceed expectations, we will be 7-5 and everyone should be happy.

    THE b IS NOT CAPITALIZED

Would you hit it?
I'm telling you, this is not ANYTHING like the team from the beginning of conference play. You will see no more blowouts like what happened in OOC.  If we lose, it will not because these kids gave up, and it will be at the buzzer. -Rodless, before 97-70

I'd have to be mighty sauced to hit that.

And mark this down: CU will beat us like a bongo drum, we lose by 17 *minimum* out there.

Just get to a bowl game. ANY bowl game. Those extra practices will be crucial to whether or not we make a comeback in 2007.

I have serious doubts about KSU winning any more games...maybe vs. ISU...but I wouldn't bet on it.

This team is so easy to scout, it's ridiculous.

7-5 should get Prince COY.

I'd give us a 5% shot at winning all the CU,ku and ISU games.

5-7 seems most likely.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

ISU is our only legitimate shot at winning the rest of the year.  ISU's scoring offense is just as crappy as ours, but their scoring defense is worse.

Yes, because @ a 0-4 ku team and @ a 1-3 CU team will be impossible.

Yes, because we've played very well on the road, our offense can score with anyone, our rush defense is just dynamite against competent rushing teams, and our head coach puts more into being bold and daring than to actually making football coaching decisions.

Baylor beat Colorado in Boulder, Oklahoma State beat ku in Lawrence. I see no reason why there isn't a legit shot we can't take one of those two road games.

Stop being so emotional and retarded. Prince is going to get at least 4 years. As he should.

That might be my favorite part about Prince...he's more interested in making points (or trying to) than scoring points.

Baylor and OSU can score points.  KSU can't.  How is that emotional?  It's not like I said we don't have a shot at winning against CU or ku, I just don't think it's more than 50%  chance of winning (i.e a legitimate shot).

And I'm fine with Prince getting 4 years, but we'll know everything we'll need to know in year 3, if not sooner.

Fatass - have you seen CU play?  I've seen several CU games this year and they're one whole hell of a lot better than their record would lead one to believe ... and they're one whole hell of a lot better than we are right now.

Wow, the Powertard syndrome is going around today.  The powertard syndrome is an easy diagnosis: the patient takes what you say and then blows it entirely out of proportion in order to portray the other individual as being anti-KSU instead of actually arguing the points being made.

You sir, are a jackass.  I never said we'd never be good.  I only said that our only legitimate shot at winning (legitimate being better than 50%) was ISU.  I never said we didn't have a shot at CU or ku.  But whatever makes you feel better.

A legitimate shot = more than 50% chance of winning?

&*$@!ing hilarious.

ISU: at home, just as bad as us at scoring offense, worse than us at socring defense= > 50% shot at winning.

CU: on the road, better than us at scoring offense (small margin), better than us at scoring defense (small margin)= < 50% shot at winning.

ku: on the road, better than us scoring offense (by a large margin), worse than us at scoring defense (large margin)= <50% shot at winning

ku is the only other game that an argument could made that we might have a 50/50 shot at winning, but ku can run the football and KSU defense hasn't been able to show that they can stop the run against decent running teams.  Although they have shown an incredible ability to piss down their collective legs in the second half of football games.

If you want to have some kind of PMS reaction to the word "legitimate" then fine, but I don't see anything wrong my logic on the remaining schedule (other than Texas) in terms of our chances of winning.

You said,

Quote
I just don't think it's more than 50%  chance of winning (i.e a legitimate shot)

A legitimate shot does not mean you should win the game (i.e more than 50% chance of winning).

It simply means you have a legitimate shot. Against Colorado and Kansas, we do.

I think if Freeman and Patton start the Baylor game, we might have won it.  We would have for sure scored a TD atleast

    KSU '06 Alum
losing back to back to nebraska and mizzou has eliminated 7 wins in my book.  we are now in the same spot we were in before the okla st game, a must win for a bowl.  i think we do win this week and i'm starting to believe kansas might give up on their season.  we'll definitely know about that after ku plays cu this week.  my main concern right now is injuries on defense, we obviously can't afford that, esp. watts.

its all about 6 wins now.
