Awesome.

Hilarious.

Fantastic.

Vintage. Mizzou.

how low is their collective FBIQ? i understand they're trying to be mizzou's rival, but why would they not be cheering for mizzou? it's a road game for nu (you generally want the home teams to win), and nu has the easiest schedule remaining out of anybody in the north, while mu has arguably the toughest.

i always thought they genuinely wanted to be good at football. i guess not.

my guess is that either:
a) they don't realize that there is a big 12 north, or
b) they just assume that the big 12 committee will automatically select them to play in the big 12 championship

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

It is actually quite simple. We play Neb. at home. We play Mizzou at a neutral site.

Exhibit A on ku's FBIQ.

Wait...

So the Big 12 North comes down to those games and thats it? Nebraska's other games don't matter? That clears it up for me, thanks...

The question you have to ask yourself is whether you really believe ku will lose more than 2 games (assuming you beat NU) in the league.  If not, then yeah, I suppose that's fair.  MU is probably out, with how they played last night they could be a 4-4 Big 12 team.  I think NU probably goes 6-2 at worst b/c they have the most managable schedule.  Really between NU and ku at this point IMO.

I kind of recall.  Here is a wiki:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Missouri%E2%80%93Nebraska_Rivalry

Also of historical note - Mrs. cyclist was a student at Mizzou in 1978.  She had a large telephone bill at her dorm.  She bet her dad that Mizzou would beat nubb that year for the amount of the phone bill.  Nubb was ranked #2 but still lost to the Tigers 35-31 in Lincoln.

I seem to remember that it ended in a scoreless tie, but since nubb was the more 'classy' school, they got a style point and thus the game...

The wiki said that Missouri forfeited the game.  Therefore...ukans 1, memphis 0.  :D

ku fans thinks their team will win our, or maybe stub their toe with a loss between now and the end of the season.  Those mindless lemmings believe whatever they're told to believe, and really don't regard road trips to Austin, Boulder, and Lubbock to be genuine challenges.  They are the opposite of EMAW.  ku fans don't understand that their season will have an entirely different character starting on the 17th.

It was a win/win situation last night for ku fans.  ku just needs to go 6-2 in the Big 12 and they'll win the North.

I predict Nebraska to finish 6-2, with losses to OU and ku.  In that case, ku wins the tiebreaker.

    The very best.

ku has no margin of error. must win @ tech, @ksu, @cu, and MU in arrowhead just to have a shot.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

that's a pretty accurate prediction.

We don't know how good ku is because they haven't played anyone and is the second week in October.

Snyder is jealous of your OOC and he's gone public with that info.

btw..its not a win/win.

If Nebraska would have lost last night.....MU would face you in a neutral site. This is assuming that MU is going to lose against @ Ostate and Texas, ...and Nebraska would need to go 7-1 from here on out with a win over @ ku to win the North.

Is it better to face a tiebreaker with Moo in Arrowhead for the North title? Or Nebraska in Lawrence with another two weeks left in the season?

I say Moo in Arrowhead but ku phans are the football experts so who knows.

and you predict ku to do at least that well and completely shrug off the fact that you have Oklahoma and Texas on your schedule plus Snyder who built a career crapping on Kansas.

Nice.

Winning the Big 12 North won't be easy.  It shouldn't be easy... ku will have to either win at Tech or pull off an upset against Oklahoma in Lawrence to have a shot.  Like fatty said, there's no room for error.  K-State fans never complain when ku (or Texas) loses... it's the same for ku fans when it comes to Mizzou..

ku loses to OU at home, at Texas, at Lubbock, and at least one loss to either CU, K-State, and MU.  Nebraska, even in your craphole ghetto, will still be tough to pull out.  I count 4 to 5 losses.  Tell me again how ku goes 6 and 2?

They probably thought the Orange Bowl vs Virginia tech was the Big 12 championship game.
