Women folk, in family, picked that up last weekend. Wanted to know if I wanted to watch it. I looked at the beer I was drinking, and told them I was making supper outside. Enough said.

Greg Daniels is pretty Elite.

The Office jumped the shark during the Beach episode.  The first two seasons, especially the 6 episodes during season 1 were pretty much TV gold.  I think the problem is that they kept changing the main characters relationships to each other too much.  Rashida Jones was the only real improvement they made, and she's gone now too.  I miss Todd Packer too.

Andy is good. They just keep making decisions in story lines that really hinders them being able to be funny. For instance, this thing with jim and michael both being the boss, or when they put Jim in a completely different branch.

I admit the whole Michael starting his own business thing threw me for a loop. Plus i still find it hard to believe Michael would still be running that place with all the embarrassing things he has done to his boss. The show is still funny to me though.

As long as NBC is hurting for actual good shows...i think it will stick around longer than in probably should.

My excitement for The Office has decreased significantly over the last few seasons, I have to admit.

Considering I just started watching the office(downloaded and watched all the seasons) I'm just as excited. I kinda get irritated when people say shows jumped the shark. You can't have the same story over and over. You need to change it up, and when people don't like the change, they say it jumped the shark. Just a pet peeve of mine. I also think a great show like The Office is kinda screwed since it was amazing from the beginning.(hard to keep that greatness going)

Also, not sure how I am going to manage with Community and Flash Forward on at the same time tonight.  :ohno:
it jumped the shark because the sh*t just isn't near as funny anymore.  the writing is stale.  the jokes are old.  the whole thing isn't as bad as some stupid shows but it isn't anywhere near what it was when it was fresh.  it's become predictable and unoriginal.  meh.

In your opinion, are there any funny shows out there today?  tia.

30 Rock is incredible.  Always Sunny is pretty good imo.  Testes was good, not sure what happened to it though.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

See...i dunno why I hate 30 Rock so much. It might be because of my general dislike of Tina Fey(in a sitcom, love SNL) and Baldwin. Plus they always win the awards. I just never liked watching the show.

Didn't renew.  :frown:

Quote
Testees is a Canadian and American television series, created by Kenny Hotz (of Kenny vs. Spenny) and written and produced by Kenny Hotz and Derek Harvie (of The Tom Green Show). Testees originally aired on Thursdays at 10:30 PM EST on FX and ran from October 9, 2008 to December 18, 2008.[1] and debuted on October 14, 2008 on Showcase in Canada. The show is filmed in Toronto and Hamilton, Ontario. Testees is now showing on FX in the uk and Comedy Central in Germany,Austria and the Netherlands. After one season, Testees was not renewed by FX.[2][3]

agreed that testes was way more elite than always sunny.  sad to hear it's gone.  guess american audiences would rather watch some reality show about dancing or losing weight.

I got sucked into FlashForward on accident, dammit. Nothing else to watch at lunch.

Oh, and naturally, Dwight and Andy saved the wedding episode. Dwight's CD for Michael's hotel room:

"This was the best wedding ever. I got 6 numbers! One more and I'd have a whole phone number!"

I totally hadn't seen the youtube video they were copying so I had to look it up afterward. Not sure if it's better or worse to not know about it when watching that episode for the first time.

    warm up the EMAW
There is a kid at my school who looks/talks/acts exactly like a 6th grade version of Tracy on 30 Rock.  He is hearing impaired so he shouts everything too.  The other day he was swimming on his belly up and down the hallway shouting a monologue about school being boring and the importance of being able to read aloud and that he might go out to eat that week.

I don't think people would believe stories from just 1 day of my life.
